#.. TWENTY-THREE

While Gunil was on another trip with other exchange students, Hyeongjun was over at Jungsu's. They were both lying on the bed, cuddled against each other while enjoying the other's company entirely. Yet there was something Hyeongjun kept thinking about. And he didn't know how to address it. The last few months it seemed like Jungsu fell for Gunil. And as a result of that, he kinda neglected Hyeongjun. Hyeongjun knew that Gunil liked Jungsu back, the latter literally told him that in person. But he wanted to know what Jungsu was thinking of their friend. He needed clarity, maybe his heart would feel easier after he found out that he also loves Gunil and just doesn't lose interest in Hyeongjun. Because he really does feel alone the last days.

"Jungsu, honey.." Hyeongjun started, looking up to Jungsu, who was fondly smiling at him. The latter let out a soft hum, as he played with Hyeongjun's hair. It was calming and relaxing, Hyeongjun was about to just give in into the comfort, but they had to talk. "We need to talk." He sat up and looked Jungsu directly in the eyes, who propped himself up on his elbows. "Spill." And Hyeongjun told him everything that bothered him the last few months. Reaching from Jungsu barely having time for him to Jungsu doing things with Gunil in his presence. At the end, Jungsu had teary eyes, holding his hand in front of his mouth. "And you felt like that the whole time..?" Jungsu asked, he sounded hurt. Okay, at least this meant that it wasn't intentional.

Jungsu kept apologizing, saying that he should've noticed it sooner. But Hyeongjun already forgave him for that. He had another question instead. "What do you feel towards Gunil? Please, be entirely honest." Jungsu started to think, he wiped away his tears as he kept looking Hyeongjun in his eyes, losing himself in the comforting brown they were. "I think I like him, too.." Now that that was established, Hyeongjun was happy. So Jungsu didn't lose interest. "I'm glad you do" Hyeongjun smiled at him, encouragingly. "I promise there's huge potential between you two."

The two of them hugged, Hyeongjun sat down on Jungsu's lap so they'd be closer. "But please don't forget me.." Hyeongjun added like an afterthought, quiet and almost inaudible. Yet Jungsu heard it and shook his head. "Never... I'd never forget you." Now, where they had some alone time, they talked about their issues. "How are you the last days? Is it getting better?" Jungsu asked, clearly worried about his boyfriend. He just received nods as an answer. "I'm clean for three months already... It's making me so proud, you know? I feel relieved." It was always so good to hear that Hyeongjun was feeling great, knowing how many depressed phases he has in his life.

The younger kissed Jungsu, it was intended to be soft and short but both of them made it into something more intense, more passionate. Just before something else could happen, the door opened. Gunil was back. He was taken aback by the sudden view of Hyeongjun sitting on top of Jungsu but he smiled. "Nice to see you, Junnie." So the three of them hung out, playing Among Us together. Hyeongjun noticed how Jungsu was closer to him again, luckily. Jungsu never wanted to hurt him, besides, it's not his fault that Gunil is literally an exchange student living in his house. He loved Jungsu. And something about Gunil was appealing, too... He was excited to know about what would happen in the future.
