When Seungmin heard his phone ring, he knew it was time for Jiseok's plan. Trying to calm his racing thoughts, he took a deep breath, and maybe one or two more, before he picked up his phone, hearing Jiseok's shaky breaths.

"I thought of something else.." Jiseok whispered, his voice filled with pain. "Jiseok, are you alright?!" Seungmin asked, scared. "Fuck no, I ain't.." There was something about the way that Jiseok talked, it was peculiar. "Are you drunk?"

"I stabbed myself, well, he stabbed me technically" was the answer, unrelated to the thing Seungmin asked before. Jiseok gasped for air as he talked and Seungmin's mouth dropped.

"What do you mean.." "Yeah, exactly what you think. He... He threatened me with a knife. So I grabbed his arm- Fuck, it hurts.. I knew he would defend himself like that- Shit.." Seungmin's eyes widened as he heard that.

"Why are you calling me then? Call for help!" He heard Jiseok chuckle. "I did... I'm waiting for them.. And in case I might bleed out here, I want to hear your voice.."

Seungmin was left speechless. "Where.. Where did he stab you.." He heard Jiseok gasp and moan in pain, some shuffling was heard behind the speaker. "Abdomen.."

He didn't know what to do. What was he supposed to do in the situation, where his boyfriend was lying on the floor in his home, stabbed?

Seungmin was crying, severely scared. A stab in the abdomen is lethal, and who knows for how long Jiseok is already lying there. "Where is your father?" "I don't know... But he is home... He thinks I'm dead."

Jiseok's heavy breathing lessened the more he talked and the moans got quieter the more silence filled their call. How long does the ambulance take to arrive? "Jiseok, hang on, you'll be alright."

Seungmin was putting on his shoes, his skateboard wrapped to his body. "I'll be there soon." "Don't come.." Jiseok hissed. "Please..."

Jiseok didn't say anything after that. Seungmin skated over the frozen streets as fast as he could, his hand pressing his phone to his ears in hopes that Jiseok might still say something.

Turning to that one significant lane he knew, Seungmin lost control, falling down from the board. The streets were slippery and he was faster than he should be, he was surprised this didn't happen sooner.

Yet as he fell, he tried to support him on his arms - Big mistake, he broke his phone. "Jiseok? Jiseok! Fuck..." He was close to crying. The cold weather of the evening pierced his skin, the stinging pain on his knee didn't make it any better. Yet having a scraped knee was his smallest worry now. Not when Jiseok was on the verge of bleeding out.

Seungmin put his phone in his pocket, sniffling and wiping away his tears as he searched for his skateboard, that rolled away somewhere. It took him long enough to find it, it took him even longer to get to Jiseok's house.

It was barricaded with a black yellow ribbon, ambulances and police cars everywhere. They rolled someone out on a stretcher, a ventilatory mask on the person's face. The cover was drenched in blood, that was the indicator where Seungmin realised it was his beloved Jiseok.

He stopped moving, in pure shock to even breath, as he just watched Jiseok being transported into the ambulance, his crying and screaming mother getting inside, too. Yet the father was nowhere to be seen.

A police officer came towards Seungmin. "No need to watch, go!" He commanded but Seungmin didn't want to. "I can't, that's... that's my boyfriend." Another police officer came running to him, stressed out.

"We found this letter in the victim's room, Officer Na. It's addressed to... Oh Seungmin." Seungmin's breath hitched as his mouth opened. He wanted to say something but couldn't find the words for it.

"I'm.. That's me.." he croaked, wiping away the tears in his eyes. After showing them his id card to prove that it was really him, Seungmin was allowed to enter the space, they pushed him towards the ambulance, wanting him to join his mother.

Seeing Jiseok unconscious definitely felt like his heart was just ripped into infinite pieces. His mother was crying loudly, holding onto the stretcher as if it was the only thing keeping her alive.

Paramedics were trying their best, doing things Seungmin didn't even register them doing. His fingers were shaking as he opened the letter Jiseok wrote to him.
