Jooyeon stood in front of the mirror, taking a deep breath. Was his outfit good enough? Did he dress accordingly to a darn café date? He has never been on a date before, after all. Why would he?

"Why do I even care?" Jooyeon then asked himself. "It's not like it is my goal to make her love me." But that was the problem. His parents had to get the impression that he did, so he had to make an effort.

He planned on telling Jiyun the truth. That he wasn't interested in her, that he wont ever be interested in her. Sounds harsh, but sometimes people have to bear with the truth.

At first, Jooyeon would take her to a cat café (bless Seungmin for giving him that idea), then they'd go stargazing, as it would be night already.

Taking a quick look at the clock, he cursed under his breath as he fixed up some small details, before rushing out of his room, down the stairs.

Not even telling his parents goodbye, he stormed out of the house, walking towards hers in full speed. He had to be there in five minutes. It was a ten minute walk, though.

Jooyeon still made it in time, standing in front of the door, panting and gasping for air as he took some moments to fully calm down, before ringing the bell.

Just a few seconds later, Jiyun's father opened, a small smile in his face before he turned his head to shout something for his daughter. Jooyeon's smile dropped as he noticed something.

He forgot his hearing aids.

As Jiyun came down the stairs, Jooyeon had to admit that she looked pretty. Her cute outfit fit with her soft face and long hair. She said something and hugged Jooyeon, looking up at him with expectations.

Normally, if Jooyeon was fully deaf, he would be able to read her lips, yet as Jooyeon still heard a tad bit (which really just sounded like the ocean rushing in his ears), he always relied on his aids. Interesting, how that backfired.

"I.. I can't hear you.." Jooyeon muttered, pushing his hair back to demonstrate that he didn't have them on. Jiyun mouthed a small "Oh" before waving to her father and walking outside.

Their bus would arrive in four minutes, and then when they'd arrive at their stop, they had to take the train for half an hour. It was worth it for the cat café though.

The two made it on time in the bus, sitting down on empty seats as she immediately wrapped her arm around Jooyeon's, putting her head on his shoulder.

Jooyeon was nervous, even more than before. This didn't feel right. He didn't know how this date would go, now where he didn't hear anything.

Leaning against the big tree, the two of them looked up to the sky. Jooyeon thought that maybe it'd be for the better if he didn't hear what Jiyun said to his feelings about her.

So turning around to face her, he sighed. Perhaps too loud, as she turned around and looked at him. Yet instead of her saying anything, she just leaned in, kissing the boy.

Jooyeon did not expect that. Yet he couldn't pull back, he didn't want to just hurt her feelings like that.

It felt wrong. It felt disgustingly wrong but Jooyeon really didn't want to reject her. So he closed his eyes, not kissing her back, just feeling her lips pressing against his own.

Jooyeon did not feel alright at all, he felt like crying. And they just kissed. He wondered what it'd feel like to... Jiyun pulled back, tilting her head.

"Why are you crying?" Jooyeon was able to read her lips. Wiping over his cheek, he immediately felt the wetness of his skin due to the tear.

Looking up at her again, he shrugged, wiping his other cheek as well. "It's complicated.." He muttered, louder than intended but it's not like he hears how loud he is talking.

Jiyun looked at him, even more confused, yet waited for him to continue. And he did.

"Listen, you know that this, our marriage is forced, right?" Her smile dropped, she looked at Jooyeon with a sad expression. She seemed to mutter a "What..." but Jooyeon didn't really look at her. He just wanted to let go of his thoughts.

"My parents did that as a measurement to... I'm not into anyone, like ever. I don't crave relationships or love or whatever. They didn't like that, so they wanted me to marry you..."

Looking back at Jiyun, Jooyeon noticed the sad face, tears dwelling in her eyes, before standing up. And with that, she just left Jooyeon on his own.
