"Jiseok..." Seungmin's voice broke the moment he was allowed to enter Jiseok's room. He was the only one allowed to enter, his mother still not stable enough to see her son in that condition.

Jiseok had a bandage wrapped around his forehead and a heavily blood-soaked bandage around his abdomen, the spot he was stabbed in. His entire body was filled with scratches and swollen bruises - He looked terrible.

The rest already left, deeming that it was way too late. Seungmin was okay with that, after all, it was already around 1AM and they had to wake up in five hours to still go to school.

It has been four hours since they finished with the procedure yet they didn't let Seungmin in until the apparently last minutes of the boy's unconsciousness.

Seungmin sat down on the chair next to the bed, as he gently grabbed Jiseok's hand. There was a doctor with him in the room, that would talk to Jiseok as soon as he woke up. In case the amnesia actually occurred.

Listening to Jiseok's calm heartbeat on the monitor made him tear up. He was alright. They will be alright. Jiseok's hand was limp inside his own, cold and heavy. But just feeling Jiseok's soft palms made him feel an overdose of relief.

The doctor looked at the two with a small smile on her lips. "Teen love can be beautiful.." she whispered to herself, startling Seungmin. "What?" he asked, not having understood her. Yet she continued talking.

"I was told you're his boyfriend?" she asked in return, the smile still on her lips. Seungmin nodded, he couldn't care about outing himself like that anymore. Not when Jiseok was in such state. Yet the woman was happy for them.

"He will remember me, will he?" Seungmin questioned as his gaze flew back to Jiseok, who suddenly groaned as he used his free hand to cover his face from the light. He was awake.

The doctor immediately pulled out a small device, calling over other nurses, stating "Patient 141 is awake."

Everything was rushed yet the only thing Seungmin could care about was Jiseok. So many nurses tried to talk to Jiseok but the boy was just looking at them, his lips widely parted. He seemed confused.

"Jiseok, can you tell me anything that happened this evening?" He looked utterly irritated, and scared. "Who are you people?" he asked, his eyes widened. Did he seriously forget everything?

He looked down to where Seungmin was holding his hand. "Do we know each other?" was his next question, this time directed to Seungmin. He pulled his hand out of Seungmin's warm one and rested it against his chest. And Seungmin felt like something just stabbed him in the heart. But before Seungmin was able to answer, Jiseok ready asked the next question.

"Why am I here? What the fuck?" The nurses tried to explain the situation, and they probably did a fairly great job at it because Jiseok seemed like something enlightened him.

Seungmin didn't listen, his ability to hear blacked out as soon as Jiseok pulled himself away from him, as if the two never interacted with each other before. Based on the nods the nurses gave each others it was confirmed - Jiseok forgot everything.

"Go to sleep first. It's late, you should get some rest. Tomorrow we'll continue with the tests and your therapy." Seungmin was asked to go home. One last glance at Jiseok, before he turned around, tears streaming down his eyes.
