Silence filled the room. Neither of them spoke.

Blade himself was a bit shocked at his own outburst. Never once in his life had he lost his cool to that extent, but in the end he guessed it was kind of normal seeing as he had come face to face with the person all his bottled-up feelings were directed towards.

Even if he wasn't actually real.

Still...

"Dan Feng-"

"It's fine."

"I didn't-"

"Just forget about it."

And after saying that, he disappeared, leaving only a few specks of light behind.

Now, all that Blade was left with was regret.

He had said that last sentence purely out of spite and anger, he didn't actually mean it. He would never... He could never in his right mind tell Dan Feng that he hated him.

"But seeing as he disappeared, it seems like even my own mind thinks that I don't deserve to see him after that." He chuckled in defeat.

Exhausted both physically and mentally, he dropped down onto his bed without much thinking. It was only when he turned to face the inside that he realized what he had done.

As he had turned around, Blade came face to face with the now relaxed sleeping face of Dan Heng.

On one hand, he was glad that the other wasn't frowning anymore, on the other...

'Oh, aeons! Someone please just kill me right now!'

His was truly the last face Blade needed to see right now. Instantly, the guilt he had somehow pushed down surged up once again, and this time with a vengeance.

Sadly for him, there was no one around to kill him and rescue him from this situation. Instead, he just got pulled deeper in moments later.

Before he could react, Dan Heng's tail had wound itself around Balde's waist and with a strong tug, pulled him close enough for him to feel the vidyadhara's breath on his chest.

Blade froze in place right that instant.

He couldn't move. He didn't dare to. He didn't wish to once again suffer the consequences of disturbing a sleeping dragon.

Not once but twice had he woken up a completely exhausted Dan Feng from his well-needed sleep in the past, only to end up with at least a few broken ribs both times. Both times, it was a purely instinctual reaction and the other had apologized for hours on end after so Blade had never blamed him, but still, it wasn't something he wished to repeat.

Just as Blade was planning his escape from this dangerous situation, Dan Heng seemed to have other plans for the night. Within a few seconds and without giving the other a chance to react, he rolled over onto his stomach, somehow managing to lie...

Right on top of Blade.

If it was even possible, Blade froze up even more.

Sigh...

'It seems like I won't be sleeping tonight.' He thought, resigning himself to his fate.

But in the end, he did end up falling asleep, his exhaustion knocking him out with full force.

After this, under the moon's watchful eye, Dan Feng appeared once again.

A small smile appeared on the vidyadhara's face as he looked at the pair, Blade having rolled over at some point, hugging Dan Heng protectively into his chest as the other's tail was still wrapped tightly around him.
