By the time Blade woke up, the sun was already high up in the sky.

He wasn't sure when he had fallen asleep but he was pretty sure that the last time he checked, it was still nighttime.

He sat up, only to be hit with a splitting headache and find the world around him spinning.

"Ugh!"

'This damn headache!'

Luckily for him, both the pain and the spinning quickly subdued, allowing him to take account of the situation.

He was back in his room-

Alone...

!!

Panic suddenly ran through Blade.

Was he back in his room because this damn day had reset once again?

Then what about-

He couldn't finish that line of thought.

Not right now! Not again!

He jumped up and bolted out the door.

Well, he tried to, anyway. When he tried to slam the door open it stopped halfway and the next thing he heard was a loud thud and a groan.

"Damn! What the hell?!"

He looked down at the groaning vidyadhara glaring back at him from the floor.

"You- You're still here?"

"Where the hell would I be otherwise?"

"This planet... The stellaron..."

"Keeps resetting the same day, I know. That's why I left you a note!" He grumbled as he stood up, rubbing his nose.

"Note?"

Amidst Blade's confusion, Dan Heng pointed towards the inside of the door that Blade had just slammed into his face. Right there, in Blade's exact line of sight was a piece of paper, telling him that Dan Heng had gone out to find some food.

"Oh."

"Oh, indeed."

If looks could kill, Blade would have fallen down right then and there a thousand times over under Dan Heng's burning glare.

Neither of them spoke and this silence slowly turned extremely awkward.

Blade didn't know what he could say and the same could be said for Dan Heng.

While one was still confused about everything, the other didn't have his memories and felt like he had no right to comment on the situation between them.

"Cough. I made some breakfast. Feel free to join me." Dan Heng eventually interrupted the silence and directly walked off towards the kitchen.

Alarm bells immediately went off in Blade's head at the sentence 'I made breakfast.', but in the end, he still followed along.

When he arrived, he was greeted by a wide variety of different dishes spread out on the kitchen table. They all looked extremely appetizing, but Blade still stared at them with suspicion.

"I'm going to take a wild guess and say that my predecessor couldn't cook." Dan Heng's voice came from behind him.

"What makes you think that?"

"You're looking at the food as if you were trying to figure out if it was poisonous." Dan Heng chuckled, handing Blade an empty plate before sitting down himself.
