"What did you drag me into?" - I looked at him with wide-open eyes.

"What are you doing tomorrow?" - he put his elbow on the armrest.

"Why does this matter now?" - I thought he was trying to change the subject.

"We're going to play padel with Carlos. Together. With you." - he said it as if it were already decided and I had no choice.

"What?" - I paled completely. - "Forget it, I'm definitely not going."

"You have to come, Milla. Please." - his eyes were pleading.

"But why? How does this solve the problem?" - I looked at him with confusion.

"I lied to Carlos that I secretly contacted you to organize a surprise program so you could spend some time together. And that's why you wrote me that you are happy." - he stared at my face and waited for my reaction. This gave meaning to why Carlos sent so many strange things today.

"Are you completely out of your mind?" - I yelled at him - "Seriously. Not only are you putting me in an uncomfortable situation unnecessarily, but what if someone sees me with you and takes a photo?"

"You don't have to be afraid of that, because I've rented the whole place for the evening. There won't be anyone else there." - he said it as if there was no problem with this situation.

"That was the only decision where you managed to use your brain. Good job." - I got so angry that I couldn't even look at him.

"Milla, please come. You can ask for anything in return." - he took my hand, leaned closer to me and gently kissed my shoulder.

"Shut the fuck up, Leclerc." - I pulled my hand away from his. - "I'd rather go home by bus." - I reached for the door handle to get out, but his reflexes were so good that before I could open the door, he locked it.

"Are you going to keep me captive until I say yes or what the hell?" - I hate shouting, but he was getting on my nerves so much that I couldn't do anything else.

"Okay, you don't have to say yes." - he yelled and definitely was full of tension, but then his voice softened. - "Just let me take you home."

"Then do that instead of talking." - I crossed my hands in front of me and just stared out the window.

He was paying attention to me because after he started driving, we just sat in silence for a while. Despite this whole shit, I was actually grateful for him. I hated taking the bus that late and raining didn't help either. But what he said really upset me. I wanted the earth to swallow me up. I was so annoyed and hated the whole world. I had been working all day, I was tired, and I just wanted to go home and finally sleep. My stomach started growling loudly because besides everything else I was also very hungry.

"Get in the back." - he broke the silence as we stopped at a red light.

"What?" - it took me by surprise, and I didn't understand what he meant.
