Woodland Walks 💛

It was the start of Autumn, Vivianne's favourite time of the year, the leaves falling from the trees, the way the leaves would change all shades of yellow, orange and red made Viv happy, it was always so peaceful and it was different from the summer, summer was great but everything was a millions mile an hour and now it was all starting to calm down.

Early one morning, Viv woke up and couldn't go back to sleep, she tried but she couldn't, so being the thoughtful person she is she made herself get up much against her will so she didn't wake Beth up. When she walked down the stairs she was greeted by Rona who they were looking after for Rich while he was away with Ben and Olivia in Portugal, the couple had been offered but they couldn't make it. Viv knelt down on the floor and made a fuss of Rona at the bottom of the stairs, "Shall we get you some breakfast?" Viv asked Rona, the two of them made their way into the kitchen, she opened the back garden door to let Rona out and then made herself some tea and then made some breakfast for Rona.

After an hour Viv and Rona were sat on the sofa, Rona snuggled up into Viv's chest watching the TV, when Beth came down the stairs she wrapped her arm around Viv's neck from the back of the sofa, "Good morning baby" Beth smiled as she placed a kiss on Vivs cheek, "Morning you." Viv smiled, Beth let go of Viv's neck, "Baby, do you want tea?" She asked as she made her way into the kitchen, "Yes please my love." Viv answered, Beth made their tea and coffee and went back into the living room and sat down on the sofa next to Viv, "Rona can I have a cuddle with Viv?" Beth asked the dog who was still on Vivs chest, Rona refused to move which made Viv giggle, Beth turned her head to look at Beth, "Baby I wanted a cuddle this morning." Beth pouted, "You're my number 1 girl, I promise." Viv reassured Beth as she kissed her lips, "I better be." Beth stated, "You always will be." Viv answered once more, Beth smiled, "I was wondering if the three of us could go to the walk along the lake in the park?" Viv asked hopefully, "Of course we can baby girl, we can go and have lunch in the dog friendly café on the lake?" Beth answered, "Sounds like we have a date." Viv smiled as leant over to kiss Beth, "On the condition I can wear the brown jumper that's hanging up in your wardrobe." Beth added, Viv laughed, "What's mine is yours."

The girls got themselves changed into warm and comfortable clothes, Viv wore a grey hoodie with black tracksuit bottoms and a black beanie and black uggs, while Beth wore Vivs comfortable oversized brown hoodie and with beige tracksuit bottoms and a beanie to match with black uggs. Once they had got Rona's lead and made sure they had everything they left for the house, Beth walked out first and put Rona in the boot of the car while Viv locked the door, when Beth got into the passenger seat Viv assumed she was driving, so got into the drivers seat and drove to the lake side where they had planned their walk.

When they arrived she put her hands in the pocket of her hoodie and began to walk while Beth was walking with Rona on the lead behind, when Beth caught up she went to grab Viv's hand but soon realised it wasn't out of the pocket, "Viv, can I hold your hand or not?" Beth half laughed half being serious, "No." Viv laughed and pulled her hand out of the hoodie pocket, Beth took her hand and then they both walked along the lake, "Beth, why don't you take Rona off the lead?" Viv asked, Beth shook her head, "We can get lunch first, then when we walk back she can come off." Viv nodded her head, and then two made their way to the coffee shop along the woodland path which was filled with autumnal coloured leaves and the sound of the birds tweeting softly.

When they arrived in the cafe, Beth took a seat by the window which looked out of the beautiful scenery, the autumn sun shining off the lake was something so simple but yet so beautiful. When Viv came back with their drinks, Viv took Beths hands into hers and placed gentle kisses along her knuckle, "What's up?" She asked a very out of it Beth, "Hmm?" Beth hummed when she came out of her trance, "What's up baby girl?" Viv asked again as she stroked Beth's knuckles, "Nothing, I was just staring." Beth smiles, "Sure?" Viv asked, "Yeah I'm sure." Beth smiled, "You know you can talk to me about anything." Viv said as she kissed Beth's knuckles, "Yea I know." Beth smiled.

The two of the spent an hour and a half watching in the coffee shop, watching the world go by only focusing on each other, they laughed and talked, ate their lunch and then they decided they should leave.

As they walked back to the car, Beth had taken Rona off the lead who was know running ahead chasing the leaves falling off the trees, Beth and Viv trailed behind Rona, hand in hand laughing at Rona. When they were halfway back to the car Rona decided to go into the lake, Beth groaned and Viv laughed, "Rona!" Beth shouted, Rona came back instantly, "Good girl," Beth said she as stroked Ronas fur, and attached her lead to her, when Beth stood up she took Vivs hand once again, "Beth." Viv smiled, "Yeah?" Beth smiled back, "Can we got to the donut shop?" Viv asked, "Yeah course," Beth answered as they made their way over to the donut shop, when Viv went in she bought herself a lemon flavoured donut and Beth the classic pink donut which was her favourite, when Viv walked out she handed Beth hers as they ate them on the way back to the car, when they got to the car Beth decided she'd drive home, she put Rona in the back of the car, "Babe, come here a second." Viv smiled, Beth leaned over to the passanger side, Viv kissed Beth, "What was that for?" Beth asked, "Just because." Viv said simply, Beth smiled and drove the pair home after the perfect day out together.
