Team Christmas Party 🫶🏻

"Baby can I wear your warm hoodie?" Beth asked as she was standing in front of the wardrobe, Viv stood up and snaked her hands around Beth's waist and placed a kiss into the crook of Beth's neck.

"Of course you can my sweet love." Viv smiled

Beth pulled a brown hoodie with a teddy bear on and placed it over her head, it was slightly over sized but went nicely with her blue jeans which she had on, along with some white air forces. Viv had a pair of black jeans and a white hoodie with her air force.

"Baby can you feed Myle?" Beth asked as she was putting her hair up into her signature ponytail.

"Yeah of course my love." Viv called up the stairs.

She went into the kitchen and grabbed Myle's bowl and put her food inside, "Eat up my precious." Viv smiled as she kissed her fur baby's head.

Beth came downstairs and saw Viv sitting on her phone, Beth wrapped her arms around the back of Viv's neck and rested her head on top of Viv's, "Myle eaten?" Beth asked

"Yeah baby." Viv smiled

Beth nodded her head and went into the kitchen, she let out her puppy. Viv went into the kitchen and wrapped Beth into a hug, "You okay?" Beth asked

Viv shook her head, "I don't want to go tonight to be honest, my anxiety is playing up." Viv mumbled.

Beth held her tighter, "Baby we can go bowling and have dinner then come home if you want, we don't have to go to the bar, we don't have to do anything you wouldn't want to do." 

Viv just nodded her head and snuggled into the kitchen, "I love you." Viv smiled

"Ik houd van je." Beth smiled

Beth locked the back door and made sure the fur baby was in her cage and then they left.

The whole way to the restaurant Beth had her hand on Vivs thigh and was giving it a reassurancing squeeze. Beth knew how bad Viv's anixety can get and only wanted her to be okay.

They pulled up at the restaurant and Viv had barely spoken two words, "Baby girl." Beth said softly, Viv turned her head, "Is there anything I can do before we go inside?" Beth asked

"Not really, but could I sit next to you?" Viv asked.

Beth nodded and leaned over to place a kiss to Viv's lips, "Anything you need/want from me wether it be a hug, a moment outside, whatever. Please please tell me." Beth smiled Viv nodded her head smiled at Beth.

They went into the restaurant and sat down next to each other, Viv's anxiety was sky high and Beth knew it, Beth placed her arm around Viv's chair rubbed circles on her arm, "I've got you." Beth whispered into Viv's ear, Viv was extremely grateful for her girlfriend but knew that no matter what she did her anxiety would get the better.

Halfway through dinner, Viv needed to take a breather from all the loud noise of her teammates of course she didn't mind her friends talking but right now she wanted a minute.

"I'm gonna go outside for a minute." Viv said in Beth's ear

"Do you want me to come with you?" Beth asked softly

Viv didn't say anything she just went outside, Beth took it as a yes and followed her outside. Viv was stood leaning against the wall gasping for breath.

"Vivi, copy my breathing." Beth said gently while taking Viv's hand and placing it over her chest.

Viv's breathing began to slow down, but not enough, "We'll do it together, breathe in 1,2,3 and out 1,2,3," this continued, Viv's breath began to slow down softly.

"Viv name three things you can see."

"You, your beautiful eyes and the wall." Viv smiled

"Name me three things you can feel."

"Your touch, your jacket and the wall." Viv's breathing became normal once more.

"I'm sorry I'm like this." Viv mumbled as Beth pulled her in for a cuddle.

"Don't you dare say sorry, I get it." Beth whispered as she kissed the side of Viv's head.

"Can we go back in it's bloody freezing?" Viv asked.

Beth laughed and nodded, "Remember what."

Thankfully the girls said nothing and Viv and Beth sat down and continued their evening meal.

Eventually it was time for the girls to go bowling, they all left the restaurant and then drove to bowling alley.

They all spilt to their lanes, Beth made sure she was with Viv there wasn't really enough room for everyone to sit down on the bench, Beth made Viv sit down and sat down Viv's lap, "Comfy?" Viv laughed as she wrapped her hands around Beth's waist.

"Yeah I am actually." Beth stated as she leaned back into Vivs embrace.

Beth and Viv watched as the girls bowled the ball down the alley, it was Viv's turn, Beth didn't realise and the girls were all laughing, Beth looked puzzled, "Baby why are they laughing?" Beth asked.

"Because my love, it's my turn." Viv smiled.

Beth then laughed and stood up, Viv picked up the ball, Beth kept watching with her eyes fixated on Viv, she bowled the ball down the middle and managed to get a strike.

"Yes Vivi!" Beth cheered

Viv returned to sit with Beth, she sat on Beth's lap as Jen and Steph were in-between them.

Viv was still quiet and had barely spoken, "You okay?" Beth asked as she rested her head on Viv's shoulder, Viv just nodded her head.

The game went on Beth and Viv were in the lead, they've had a few practices over the last few weeks, Beth stood up to take her turn, Viv eyes were transfixed on her girlfriend, she watched as Beth rolled the ball down the alley, she got a strike and celebrated, the girls all laughed and so did Viv, Beth looked over and saw her girlfriend smiling, Viv stood up and took her turn, she too got a strike, all of the girls looked at the score bored and Viv had won.

"Baby!" Beth smiled and jumped on Viv, Viv caught her girlfriend.

"Trots op je schat." Beth smiled

Viv smiled back at her and put her down. Most of the girls wanted to go to the bar, Viv didn't want to go, "Baby I'm gonna head home, go if you want too, enjoy yourself and call me when you want a lift." Viv smiled as they were outside the bowling alley.

Beth shook her head, "As much as I love these girls, I love you more, I only want to spend time with you."

"Are you 100% sure?" Viv asked.

"100%." Beth smiled.

The girls said their goodbyes to the team, got into the car and drove home.

The opened the door and went straight to their fur baby's crate, "Baby girl!" Beth smiled as she and Viv bent down to make a fuss of their puppy.

They let Myle out into the back garden and Viv sat down on the stool, Beth came and sat at her lap, "Thank you for looking after me today." Viv mumbled into Beth's shoulder.

"You don't have to thank me." Beth whispered.

Viv looked up at her and placed a kiss to  Beth's lips, "I love you so so much." Viv mumbled against Beth's lips.

"I love you so so much more." Beth whispered back.

Then there was barking, Beth and Viv laughed as their fur baby interrupted them, Beth leaned down and picked her up, "mijn perfecte familie." Viv whispered under her breath.

"What does that mean?" Beth asked curiously as she turned her head to look at Viv.

"My perfect family." Viv smiled.

Beth leaned and placed a kiss to Viv's lips. They spent the remainder of the evenings snuggled up, on the sofa under a blanket the TV on watching some random TV show, the fire roaring and the tree lights on.
