Letter 13

Hi there...
Hope you are doing well Mimi...

It's raining here...and I am listening to rainy days....woww... it's so beautiful.
Tae's music is just beautiful... soothing...loving.. comforting. I am in the middle of a wedding preparation and busy , so I don't get enough time to enjoy the songs...

Have you been to weddings ?? Probably you have? Right?
But I am sure that you have never attended a  Indian wedding.
Korean weddings are beautiful yet calm I think.
However,we are pretty loud and love to dance and sing with loud music.

My hometown is in the southern part of India , and the wedding is tomorrow.
There's a lot to prepare and guests are already here....and I am literally just busy busy.

While I was busy and doing the chores around the house, I came to talk to our house helping lady.
She is not a permanent staff or anything but she is here whenever there's some function happens.
She knows everything and everyone and friendly enough to start a conversation at any second.

We were talking casually about all the preparations about the wedding.
The pre wedding photo shoot and the functions.
She is in late sixties and was telling me about the older times.

She told me that she didn't want to get married when the proposal came and she completely rejected the guy who is her husband now .
Even after her rejection, her family forced her to get married to the same guy and since then she's working in other houses when her husband do not work at all.

Her voice broke and there were tears in her eyes.
I didn't know what to say to console her so I just changed the subject like a coward.

I don't know
There are people who are permanently scarred. We can't soothe them easily or mend their heart.
Everyone has some untold stories ...right?
Sometimes it comes out like this? Unintentionally?

I wish there was some magical powers to help the people to heal...
Sometimes, you guys just do that for us.

Maybe that's why we love you so much?
The troubles and struggles feels a little bit easier to bear, with you guys there?

I hope that you are healing too, from all the scars that this world put on you...from all the burdens and expectations put on you.
I hope you know that we love you no matter what ❤️

I have a lot of things to do now...
Until I have something to tell you about...
