I have a question to ask! Have you met someone, with whom you clicked immediately? But something wasn't working, so that potential relationship/ friendship didn't get a chance to work it's course? Probably you have? And especially with the job of yours ...I can assume things like that happening....to you. I hope that during the military period, you are able to meet good people and make friends which would last longer Mimi.
Having said that...
I met someone last week. This person walked up to me and we started talking?! I usually feel awkward around new people but this was quite comfortable. I don't know how but we talked for more than twenty minutes...like we had similar things to talk about and it was a really good conversation... I actually started to feel that ' woah.... this is super nice.... maybe I am actually going to make a friend '

So when it was time for me to leave, I casually asked . ' Are we going to meet on the next weekend too?' Because by this time, we both knew that, over the past few months, we probably had been in the same place for a bunch of times and this is our first time to really see each other. So a part of me actually was hoping that this , would happen again.
Then this person said that they are moving to Australia by the end of this month.

I mean good for them...but we both sighed! There's no point in hoping for meeting again. See....I lost another one even before even making it. So we said our goodbyes and left .
Aah....I couldn't stop thinking about it afterwards though. Why? Why didn't we meet earlier? Probably we have been in the same place before too...but I never try to start a conversation unless it is absolutely necessary and see what happened. Whyyy!!!!

This is not the first time something like this happened...it has happened before too... I miss having my best friends around..you know. We were a trio , two super extroverts and one ambivert. Now those two are living in the same neighborhood and working at the same company and I am living in another country. It's so unfair...tbh. Whatever! Ufff!

Currently reading this one. It's slow...but good. Probably going to be sad and going to break my heart into pieces by the end of it....Dustin Thao had done it before. Let's see....I am reading it very slowly.. Don't have the energy to add more into my own troubles.
