My Enemy?

Pancakes

Nathan immediately smiled as he tastes the pancakes she made.

"Those are amazing" he said.

"Really?" she asked.

"Yes, love, they taste so delicious. I have decided that we're getting married and you're making me those for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday" he said.

I blushed deeply at the thought of being married to Nathan but I didn't bother hiding it for the sake of being his good girl.

My eyes widened when I realized what Nathan actually. I was completely caught off-guard and I didn't know how to respond. The thought of being married to him was something I never expected.
However, it did bring a lot of butterflies to my stomach. I imagined myself being married to Nathan's... but they had just started their relationship. Marriage was a huge step, and I was not sure if I was ready to take that step with him yet.

"Nathan, wait... are you saying... you want to marry me?" I asked with a flustered tone.

"Of course I do. I already know I want to spend the rest of my life with you and only you" he said looking very sure of his words.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. He really wanted to spend the rest of his life with me? And all this time, he knew it from the start? I was in a state of shock, yet his words made me so happy. It was a dream come true for me.

"Nathan, I..." I didn't know what to say, I was so happy but also so nervous. Marriage was a huge commitment, and I didn't know if I was ready for it. Yet, there was a part of me that knew this was the right choice.

"Don't worry, love. I know saying that means we're, I mean I'm moving too fast. I don't need a reply right now, I just want you to know how serious I am about you" he stated.

I was speechless. Marriage wasn't something I thought I would hear from Nathan this early in their relationship. I was surprised but at the same time, pleased to know how serious he was about me. I knew that I had to be careful, to not rush and make the wrong choice. But hearing this from him made my heart flutter.

"Nathan, I..." I tried to speak but the words couldn't leave my lips. My mind was racing and I couldn't put any thoughts into words.

"I'll give it some time... please." I finally managed to say.

"Yes, yes, love. Of course, however much time you need" he said kindly.

I could feel his words easing my concern. I was still anxious and nervous but I knew that Nathan was willing to wait for my response. I was glad that Nathan understood my feelings and I wanted to make sure I was making the right choice by marrying the love of my life.

Nathan's kindness and understanding made my heart flutter even more. I could feel the heat rising in my face as  Nathan got up and held me in his arms, and I didn't bother to hide it. I just wanted to enjoy this moment with him for as long as she could.

After a while Nathan had to leave, but he promised to be back tonight so they could watch a movie together.

I wanted to spend the whole day with Nathna, but she knew that it was not realistic. They had their own obligations, and I had responsibilities to attend to as well. But I couldn't help but feel happy at the thought of seeing Nathan again tonight.

"I'll see you tonight." I  said, I was so excited for tonight's movie night. I hoped that he would be on the mood for some cuddling, I wanted to be able to hold his hand and cuddle into him for the entire night.

He smiled and  she said "Penny for your thoughts".

"Oh_I_um" he stuttered.

I couldn't help but laugh a bit when Nathan stuttered. I loved it when he was flustered and embarrassed. I could almost imagine the blush forming on his face, and I felt a wave of heat rush into my cheeks just from picturing it in my mind.
