"What the fuck was that all about?" I asked flabbergasted as I walked with Jenny to the car park.
"I don't know how you stayed so calm," she said with a hint of disbelief in her voice.
"What do you mean?"
"He's like, the schools 'bad boy.'" She made air bunnies with her fingers and continued. "No one back chats or questions him. If he tells you to do something, you do it. That and the fact he's the head masters son. He can literally do whatever he wants. Not to mention he's extremely attractive and literally every girl wants to stay on his good side so they have a chance at being with him, but no one here has ever been good enough for him." As she said this her eyes glazed over, like she was about to cry or had randomly become a mindless zombie. For some reason I assumed it was the first option.
"Did you try?" I asked her.
She nodded, her cheeks glowing red.
"He's an asshole for not wanting to be with you. I've only known you for like, what, 2 hours? And yet I already know what an amazing person you are. Don't worry though, he's obviously not good enough for you. You'll find someone way better." She looked up at me and smiled a really big, cheesy smile that made me smile back.
I saw my car and Jenny followed my gaze and choked when she noticed what I was looking at.
"You can come with me you know. Marilyn won't mind." I said, raising my eyebrow and nudging her with my elbow. She started shaking ever so slightly and her eyes widened.
"I thought I got as excited as I possibly could when I saw you. I was so fucking wrong."
"Girl, breathe." I said joking, grabbing her shoulders. "You coming or not?"
"Are you sure I'm allowed?" She stage whispered as if he could hear us.
"Yes, now c'mon," I grabbed her tiny wrist and more or less dragged her to the car. "I'll get in the back with you so it's not awkward." I said quietly to her as I opened the back door. I watched as Jenny got ever so slowly in, her entire body shaking like a leaf.
"Hey Marilyn, are you proud?" I gestured to Jenny. "I made a friend."
He turned round to face her and I literally heard her breath hitch. I grabbed her hand and she calmed down significantly.
"Hello Dixie's friend that I am glad she has made, I'm Marilyn," he paused and looked at her top. "But I think you already know that."
She laughed and introduced herself. "I'm Jenny."
"Oh sweet, you're from Mexico?" He picked up on her accent very quickly.
"Yeah, Chihuahua."
The conversation didn't die down the entire car ride and I felt so fucking proud of Jenny for being so calm and collected. I could tell she was in utter awe but she was containing her excitement like a pro. The car pulled up outside the house and Jenny's eyes grew wider, if that was even possible.
"Oh, I completely forgot to ask, how was your first day?" Marilyn asked me, turning off the engine but staying in the car.
"Uh, pretty good, except I've already made an enemy and that was made undeniable when she didn't do my harness up tight enough in the aerial fitness thingy and it came undone and I fell 10 feet."
"Oh my fucking God, did she get in trouble?"
"Not from the teacher but I punched her in the nose so it's a good." I was worried Manson would shout at me but instead he laughed.
"Oh, and the head masters son pinned me against a wall for punching her, and apparently I was supposed to succumb to his 'good looks' and 'bad boy vibes' and do what he asked, but I didn't and that makes me weird."
