diego's pov
i was currently in the kitchen, getting snacks for y/n and i. we were gonna watch a movie. this like was our own, private, engagement celebration. it was also going to be our first night living together. we had both decided that if we were engaged we might as well be living with each other.

i finished up with the snacks and brought everything up to my room. i walked in and saw y/n just sitting there on her phone.
"alright baby what do you wanna watch?" i asked
"can we watch venom?" she asked
"of course. here pass the remote." i say sitting down on the bed. she hands me the remote and i play the movie.

half way through the movie i she asked me
"hey do you ever want kids"
"yeah. i wanna live on a ranch with two kids. one boy and one girl." i replied
"a ranch? id expect you to wanna live in the city." she says
"no, i was raised around animals and i loved it, so i want that for my children as well." i said
"aww that's so cute" she says
"mhm. what about you? do you want kids?" i ask her
"yeah! i want a boy and a girl too. and i want the boy to be older so he can protect his little sister" she says giving a cheeky smile.
"aww i can imagine a mini diego taking care of a mini y/n." i say smiling back
"ugh that would be so cute!" she exclaims
"and what about the house? or the ranch.. whatever where would it be?" she asks
"i'm not sure honestly. i dont mind though." i reply
"mh. we'll figure it out after we're married." she says
"yeah you're right. speaking of, when should we do it?" i ask
"hm? the wedding?" she asks
"yeah. im thinking maybe 8-10 months, so we can have enough time to plan. what do you think?" i ask
"i think that would be good. oooh you know what i want light purple decorations, it would be so cute!" she says
"we can do that. whatever you want my love we can do." i say to her kissing her forehead. she just looks at me and smiles, putting her head onto my chest.

we finished up the movie but were still bored.
"do you think walmarts still opened? we can bake something" y/n says excitedly.
"oh yeah i think so, cmon let's go we should probably hurry so they don't close." i say. she nods as i grab her hand leading her to the car.

we get all the stuff to make cookies. i personally didn't know how to make cookies, so y/n would have to do all the work.

"okay just cream together the butter and sugars then add the rest of the dry ingredients while i turn on the oven and get the sheet ready" she says, leaving me dumbfounded. i had no clue what this girl just said
"huh?" i said
"use the mixer to mix in the butter and two sugars, have you never made cookies before?" she says laughing
"uhhh" i say scratching my neck
"no way! move over i'll show you" she says giving me a smile.

she did everything with a smile, with such ease. which just made me fall even more in love with her. i was so focused on her that i didn't realize, she had put flour on my nose. she looked at me laughing. i got some flour on my hand and put it on her cheek. we just bursted out laughing, i really did love this girl with my whole heart.

we finished up with the cookies and headed to bed. i put on south park, so we could watch until we fell asleep. soon enough, i felt a weight and short breathing on my chest. i looked down to see y/n, asleep. she looked so peaceful, i decided to take a picture.

i have her a small kiss on the forehead, turned off the tv and drifted myself to sleep. all i thought about was how i would love this girl, forever.
