after hanni unnie asked us to loosen up a bit, she continued rambling about how we need to enjoy our teenage years, have to go on parties now that we're all allowed to and that we're 'nerds' and 'pooper parties' (she meant to say party poopers..), to which dani unnie and me break into laughter.
"what? why are you laughing??",hanni unnie asks, dumbfounded. "did you mean to say 'party poopers', han?", dani unnie replies, emphasizing the word that hanni unnie made a mistake on, who nods slowly, trying to comprehend what nielle unnie means.
"yes? isn't that what i just said?", hanni unnie sasses, her eyebrows raised in confusion. i shake my head as i'm still laughing uncontrollably about her mistake, finding it way too funny to be able to talk.
right in the moment, the door to class 3-1 opens, revealing minji unnie who immediately smiles upon seeing us gathered up after absolutely killing our maths exam (by now there's other people in the hallway too but not too many so that's good).
"hi my dear childhood friends, what were you talking about? also, ms. kang haerin what are you laughing about??",the oldest of us questions while putting her arm around hanni unnie's waist.
right, i forgot to mention that they're dating..
i kind of envy them, i mean they used to be best friends just like dani unnie and me.
during childhood, we all knew they'd end up together and that they'd date sooner or later,
i just wish that could be dani unnie and me.
"kangkang? you okay??",danielle unnie suddenly waves her hand in front of my face, as i notice a worried look on her face. "earth to kang haerin???",minji unnie now calls out to me, my sight blurry as i get a hold of dani unnie's hand.
"sorry..i just zoned out",i mutter out under my breath, holding nielle unnie's hand as she plays with my thumb. "okay, kang kitty, you're allowed to so don't worry ~",dani unnie says in a quiet voice, only for me to hear as my cheeks heat up.
as if i was in a trance, my eyes travel all about and around dani unnie's pretty face, her gaze also on me which makes me want to bury myself as i can feel my cheeks heating up even more.
suddenly, minji unnie and hanni unnie wheeze, making me shoot a glare at them. "haerin-ah, you're like, red as a tomato!",hanni unnie blurts out, so i hide my face with my hands, not wanting anyone to see. "hanni! you're embarrassing her!! don't worry, hae, you look adorable", dani unnie whisper shouts in return, that only made it worse!
