Chapter Fourty-Five

Lando POV

"I'm looking for Katherine Button,'I say as I reach the reception desk.

"You're relation to the patient?"

"Fiance," she nods and looks behind me at the others.

"And you lot?"

"Brothers," they all say she frowns, obviously not believing it but doesn't say anything.

"Room 242," I nod, and we all rush down the halls of the hospital. I reach the door, seeing Oscar at the side of her holding her hand.

"Thank god you're here," he pulls his hand out of her and places mine into it. "I thought she was going to break my hand."

"How you feeling, baby?"

"Like there's a chainsaw up my vagina," I nod, and Oscar walks out to the waiting room close by.

"Mrs Button," the nurse says. "I just want to check how far dilated you are," Katherine nods, and the nurse shuts the door. She looks under the sheets.

"7cm not long now I'll come back in around a hour or so if anything else changes just give me a shout," I nod thanking her.

"We're going to be parents," I say, looking at her.

"We're going to be parents," she smiles "God I can't wait till their out of me," I laugh.

"I wish I could help with the pain, baby, but sadly, I can not," she squeezes my hand, causing me to yelp.

"You're helping enough," Oscar was right about her grip.

"That's good, but please try not to break my hand," she apologized, loosening her grip.

"Let me in," I say.

"How are you going to get in," she asks. I kick off my shoes.

"Sit forward," she sits as forward as she can. I move the pillows and sit behind her, my legs resting at either side of her as she leans back into me.

"This is actually comfy," she says, "possibly the comfiest I've been since we got to the hospital,"

"Glad I'm useful for something then," my hands rest on top of the bump intwined with hers.

The nurse walks in, smiling at us. "Let's check, shall we," she says, looking back under the sheets.

"OK, mum and dad, I think it's time," she says.

"Should I move?" I ask she shakes her head.

"That's okay. You can stay there and help her as much as you can," I nod, taking both her hands in mine as the nurses sort everything else out.

"Are you ready, baby?" I whisper in her ear.

"Not really," she breaths out.

"It's okay. I've got you," I kiss her cheek.

"Ready to push,"

"Ready,"

Katherine squeezes my hands each time she pushes my head and rests on the shoulder as she leans back into me.

"You've got this," I whisper. I was trying to keep her calm. I couldn't wipe either of our tears it wasn't long after we both heard the cries of our baby.

"You did it," I say her head turns to me, and I crash our lips together, removing my hand from hers and wiping her tears. I pull away and wipe my tears.

"Congratulations, you've got a beautiful baby boy,"

"Boy,' the nurse nods, bringing him over to us. She rests him in Katherine's arms.

"He beautiful," she says.

"Just like his mother," I smile. "God, I'm so fucking happy,"

I walk out of the room and into the waiting room the boys look up at me.

"You all waited?" They nod.

"We weren't leaving, is she okay,"

"She's fine," they didn't know that she had given birth yet.

"Are we allowed to come see her, or do we have to wait until after she's given birth,"

"No, you can come in now," they all stood up. I walked into the room, and she was holding him and standing in front of her.

"Katherine, are you okay," Max says, walking in and gasps. They all walk in and do the same.

"Suprise," Katherine smiles.

"Boy or girl?" Charles asks.

"Boy,"

"Has my godchild got a name?" We both nod. I stand next to her.

"This is Max Oscar Norris," Max and Oscars head shoots up at us.

"You named him Max?"

"We've had this name for a while. you're our best friend who is better to name him after,"

"Oscar?" Oscar says,"Did you say Oscar?'

"He did,' Katherine says.

"I don't understand,"

"You helped Katherine get here and held her hand until I got here. You're also one of my best mates," he smiles at me.

"Which leaves us with one last question," I say, looking at Kat.

"Oscar Piastri,"

"Katherine Button"

"Would you do us the honour and be his godfather," he smiles brightly at us.

"Yes,"

"Now come on and meet your nephew," I say to them all they all make their way over.

"God, he looks just like you, Lando," Arthur says.

"He's got your nose,"

"You think?" I ask.

"Yeah, he's like a copy of you," Carlos says. "Of you both really, he has Katherine's mouth,"

I look down at the mother of my child smiling. This was the happiest I've ever been and the most love I have ever felt.
