Chapter Thirty-Two

Winter Break

Lando POV

"Oscar, I'm nervous," I say over the phone as I make my way down to Kats' apartment.

"There's nothing to be nervous about now suck it up and knock on her door," I groan, hanging up. I knock on the door in front of me and hear Zander bark.

"You can walk in Lan," she shouts from the other side. I open the door, Zander attacking me as soon as I enter.

"Come on, boy," I say, walking over to her. I sit beside her.

"I wanted to ask you something," I say. She nods, giving me her full attention.

"Go ahead,"

"I think we should move in together," I watch as she smiles at my my heart rate going back to normal.

"Okay,"

"Wait, really?" She nods."I thought you were going to say no,"

"We practically live together anyway,"

"I've been looking at apartments. There's a few I like. Maybe we could go view them?"

"Okay, let's do it," Okay, one down two more to go.

"Wow," I hear her say as she opens the door to the balcony. The view in this apartment was stunning.

"Do you accept pets here?" I ask the real estate agent nods. I walk behind Kat and wrap my arms around her waist.

"This is perfect," I softly say.

"It really is,"

"Is this the one?" She turns around, wrapping her arms around my neck, and kisses me.

"This is the one,"

"We'll take it," I shout into the room.

"Charles, if you drop one more thing, I'll kill you," I shout.

"Lando, I'm helping it's not my fault you don't know how to pack,"

"Seriously, why didn't Kat pack,"

"She's with Harper for the weekend. I thought let's just get into the new apartment and suprise her,"

"So she doesn't know you're moving?" I shake my head."Have you asked her about Christmas?" Max asks.

"I'm going to ask her tomorrow when she gets home,"

"Oh, she'll be spending it alone, wouldn't she," Arthur says, coming to the realisation.

"I mean, we wouldn't let that happen, but theoretically, yeah," I say. "My family wants her to come for Christmas anyway, so I'm hoping she says yeah."

"She'll say yeah," Max adds "plus if not, the plans are ruined."

"I'd have to come up with something else," I hum.

"Okay, you can open them," I say. Kat opens her eyes, gasping.

"I knew the car ride was longer than normal. You did all this by yourself?" I shake my head.

"I had some help, but I thought we could finally settle into our new home," she smiles widely at me.

"Our new home who would have thought we'd be saying those words?"

"I'm glad my playboy ways did something for me," I wrap my arms around her. "Help me find the woman of my dreams,"

"You're getting all sappy on me,"

"The things you make me do," she kisses me.

"I wanted to ask if you wanted to celebrate Christmas with me and my family,"

"Are you sure?" I nod."I wouldn't want to intrude," I shake my head.

"My mother would love it if you came, and so would I,"

"I couldn't disappoint Cisca now, could I?"

"So you'll come," she nods

"I'll come," two down three to go.

"Have you spoken to your father at all?"

"No, he hasn't said a word to me he didn't even contact me after my mum passed," I sigh "I'm not going to dwell on the past anymore he isn't the man I once knew and I guess I'm coming to terms with that,"

"At least you have Christian, right?" She nods.

"He's like a father to me," I smile.

Katherine POV

"You've moved in together, and you're celebrating Christmas with his family," Harper smiles "your finally getting everything you deserve. I'm so happy for you,"

"I've never felt like this before he really does make me happy,"

"I can tell you both light up when you're near each other,"

"I see my future with him as cheese as that may sound,"

"It doesn't seem cheesy your mum always said once you know you know right," I nod

"That she did,"

"I mean, I can see you two living happily ever after," she smiles. "I mean, what would you ever say if he proposed?"

"I'd say yes in a heartbeat, but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon," I shrug. "We've been dating for 7 months officially,"

"Yeah, but you started fake dating beginning of the season, so it's technically been 10/11 months,"

"I don't even think that counts,"

"When did he say he fell in love with you?"

"The date we had to kiss,"

"So like a month after you started to fake date,"

"Yeah, I guess."

"You guys may have started officially dating later on, but you've been in love with each other for much longer," I smile

"I guess we have," I never thought about my future with anyone before I never would let myself think thst far into it, but with Lando, I could see the rest of my life and he was standing next to me during it.
