Vanity was back in London. She was in mickeys house as he went and sorted through a load of his drug stash. Vanity wondered how he'd not been going through withdrawals, but funnily enough Mickey had a connection in America but he's not telling anyone that.
Vanity was tired and drained and the first thing she wanted to do was see her Sidney.
She wanted to see him so bad it was killing her. Then there was Tiffany she was sat across from Vanity waiting to start a conversation.
Tiffany had tried to be kind to her. Infact she was incredibly lovely but Vanity wished she'd just leave her alone.
"So where did you meet Mickey?" Tiffany asked, Vanity sighed not really wanting to tell her. However not wanting to cause any trouble my being unnecessarily mean she decided to just talk to her but she wasn't going to tell her anything in detail.
"I met him when I first came to this part of London about three years ago." She answered simply. Tiffany nodded "so you haven't been in this part of London long?" She asked, Vanity shook her head.
"Not really. I used to come here for three weeks of the summer holidays to see my nanna and grandad." Vanity answered again.Tiffany nodded again. She couldn't really tell that Vanity didn't want to talk. "Cool, I've never been to London before..." a tense silence passed by them before Tiffany spoke again "do you like drugs?"
Vanity didn't answer, a little stumped by the question. Tiffany waited for her to reply "sorry if that was kinda random. Mickey told me you shoot up together so I just thought I'd ask" she said.
"Did he? Well he had no business telling you that" Vanity said "Oh no no, I didn't mean to offended you or nothin' I just wondered if maybe you'd wanna do it with me sometime? I've never had a good friend before and you seem really nice" Tiffany said with a kind smile.
The corners of Vanitys lips turned up slightly but she didn't want Tiffany to get the wrong idea that she was okay with her just showing up.
People may wonder why Vanity wasn't happy that Mickey had a girlfriend and it wasn't because she was jealous or she wanted Mickey. It was because Mickey had been hurt one too many times, not to mention that and his trust issues and when he trusted someone he really put his all into them.
But the more he got hurt the more he withheld his trust, the more he didn't date, the more he kept strictly to drug use and dealing so him just bringing a girl home that he'd known for probably a week and now here she was adamant on staying with him.
Suddenly their conversation was interrupted when Mickey came bursting in "Vanity! Vanity! I know where they are!" He shouted.
"What? Where who are?" She asked "The boys! The Pistols! They're about to preform god save the Queen down the river Thames" Mickey announced ecstatically "come on let's go!" He shouted and grabbed his jacket.
Vanity and Tiffany both ran out of the door, and straight away all three of them dashed.
The Thames
"They fucking skipped us I can't fucking believe it" Steve murmured, he'd felt nothing but stress and anger. However now today was the day the Sex Pistols would go down the river Thames for the Jubilee and play God save the Queen infront of parliament.
"It's soon my boy. You'll soon get to number one" Malcolm said as they all got onto the boat. Sid didn't feel the same. He was better than he was when she left but now he couldn't help but wish she was there on the boat with them all.
She should be there. And as they began to set up John went to check on him "You alright sid?" He asked.
"It doesn't feel right without her here. She needs to be here John" Sid said sadly and slung his bass over his shoulders. "I know mate. But she's gone. Look we stand here and play. Try not to think about it" John said which seemed to give Sid some sort of encouragement.
