around a week later Vanity and Sid left Anne's house to go and live with Mickey and Tiffany. Johnny shortly found this out along with the fact that it's worse due to drug addicts living with suppliers who were also addicts.

So Johnny decided he'd try to get Sid out of his slumber and let him see a bit of hope. He made his way to the house, not bothering to knock as he made his way through the foyer.
Johnny walked into the living room where he saw Tiffany sat, she was filing her nails and reading a magazine. her head turned to Johnny hearing his footsteps on the tiled floor.

"hello Johnny, what're you doing up so early in the afternoon?" she asked him, he stuck his hand into the pocket of his blazer "i've come to see mi best mate" John answered. Tiffany tutted and flipped a page in the mag. "oh him, he's in his boudoir" she rolled her eyes. "is he out of it?" He asked.

"not as much as she is" Tiffany said. Johnny went to turn around however on the floor he spotted a random guy sprawled out "who's that?" he asked.
"oh that's just one of Mickey's customers. trying some new drug, but the stupid fuck passed out before he could even tell us the effect" Tiffany scoffed.
"he aint dead is he?" Johnny asked, she shook her head and took a sip of her presecco. "no...well he shouldn't be anyway." she said and went back to her magazine.

Johnny nudged the figure with his foot slightly, he flinched and snorted. John rolled his eyes and began to walk up the stairs "Sidney! Wakey Wakey!" he shouted and heard a groan from one of the bedrooms. there on a mattress on the floor was Sid and laid over him was Vanity however most of her was covered by the bed sheets.

"Siiiidddd" Johnny dragged out, kneeling down to Sid's level "wake up dear...Sidney!" he yelled and firmly tapped Sid's face. Sid jolted and woke up abruptly "fucking finally. get up now" Johnny said and heard Vanity groan, muffled by the bed sheets.

"leave us alone" she grumbled, closing her eyes again. Johnny pulled out two tickets from his pocket "look, i got you a ticket to go and see Cosmic Ecco at his hotel...it'll do ya good to go and see him." John said, his voice slightly shaky and nervous.

"i heard he's cleaned up his act, don't do any drugs or drink-hardly" Johnny tried to convince Sid. Vanity stuck her head up from under the sheets.
"and he's all the better for it" Johnny made a point of addressing Vanity whilst he spoke. "i know Cosmic" she croaked out, her voice was rough and scratchy.
"i bet you do" Johnny snarled at her. "Cosmic has the best drugs" Vanity said to Sid however knew it would get to Johnny

Sid yawned and cracked his eyes open "let's go see Cosmic then" Sid finally answered. John noticed he only answered to the part where drugs were involved, he looked down at Sidney. his face frozen like stone with a solid blank and empty glare was being directed at Sid.

Sid lifted a hand up and grabbed Johnny's jaw "here John, make us a cuppa tea will ya" Sid joked and began to laugh as did Vanity "look at your face" Sid chuckled as Vanity lay on his chest tiredly.

As John watched Sid laugh at him mindlessly, it was clear Sid's addiction worsened with every passing second, a heavy weight settled in his heart. Johnny felt ill watching it, he had noticed the sickly colour Sid's skin had become. it was faint but if you'd seen Sid before this had happened you'd see the difference, John felt an underlying concern for his friend's well-being. It was like a knot in his stomach that tightened with each passing day.

Johnny's worry didn't stop at Sid, his worry was fuelled by the knowledge that Vanity, despite being Sid's partner, wasn't providing the support he needed. and instead Sid is like a big child that Vanity needs to take care of. Her influence seemed to exacerbate Sid's struggles rather than help him overcome them, it was like she didn't care that they were both slowly killing themselves, It added an extra layer of frustration and helplessness for John.
