Vanity was on her way back to Mickey and Tiffany's place after seeing Sid in the hospital, now he was back home she could go back to her old apartment. it had gotten significantly darker with how late it was, hardly anyone was out on the streets, in a way it made Vanity feel quite calm.

As she approached the house she noticed none of the lights were on, strange because normally someone, whether it be herself, Mickey or Tiffany was always at home. She decided to go to the phone box across the road and call the pub to see if Mickey was there. Finally after a few rings the landlord picked up and the phone was passed to Mickey who unsurprisingly was there.

"So you'll definitely be home soon then?" Vanity asked.

"Yeah, i'll be about half an hour maybe. i've just got here and i'm doing a d.e.a.l and the guy hasn't turned up yet love" He replied.

She took a deep breath. "Right...well i'll see you later then yeah?"

"Course you will. Tiff should be home before me so you won't be on your own for too long. I'll talk soon." He said, the distant sound of the chatter around him gave some comfort to her.

"Alright then Mick, bye" She hung up. walking out of the dimly lit phone booth she crossed the empty road to Mickey's house. Taking her key out of her pocket she put it into the lock and twisted it, the click allowing her to push the door open and she was met with the hallway.

"Shit" She muttered as her keys fell out of her grasp. She picked them up and closed the door with her foot. As Vanity entered the living room, her fingers reached for the light switch. Just as her hand brushed against it and her surroundings were now visible, a sudden pressure enveloped her, a hand wrapping firmly around her waist. Another hand clamped over her mouth, stifling any potential scream. In the dimness of the room, a figure loomed behind her, unseen yet undeniably present.

Vanity's heart raced, and her body tensed. The calm she had felt on the empty streets dissipated, replaced by a surge of fear. The room remained silent, except for the muffled sounds of her struggle.

A voice, low and familiar, whispered in her ear, "Hello Vanity." The grip on her mouth loosened, allowing her to catch her breath.

The hands around her gently released their hold, and Vanity turned to face her captor. In the dim light, she made out the features of a person she thought she had left behind.

Tall.

Blonde.

Scary.

He stepped back, a faint smirk playing on his lips. "Long time no see huh?" he said, his eyes studying her reaction.

Vanity, recovering from the initial shock, narrowed her eyes at him. " What the hell are you doing here?" Her voice shook and was barely audible, betraying her attempt at composure. Looking at the figure in front of her it didn't seem real. he didn't seem real. he was like a scary story that traumatised a child. in this situation Vanity was that child.

He chuckled, the sound echoing in the quiet room. "Just checking in. you are a sneaky little thing. disappearing on me like that." He smirked

Vanity felt stuck to the ground. she couldn't pry her feet from it almost like the floor had been turned into glue. "I didn't disappear-" She couldn't shake off the uneasy feeling his sudden appearance brought.

"See i wouldn't have even known where you were if Nate didn't tell me."

Robbin tilted his head, the smirk persisting. "Look at you" he changed the subject. "i mean wow- you look more beautiful than the last time i saw you" he circled her like a vulture. "The last time i saw you your face was having a very friendly conversation with Sid's fist." Vanity tried to show that she wasn't the same girl who cowered away from him. she wasn't doing a very good job however as she just stood there.
