They'd been on the road for around two hours just driving, half an hour earlier Vanity had told Steve and the boys about a place she knew near a beach. It was quiet and had a hill where they could set up their tent and stuff.
The tension had calmed down and apart from the occasional snarky comment or sarcastic remark they'd all been getting along just fine, however no one could handle Johnny's complaints about food any longer.
"Oi, not that I'm not loving this beautiful mountain scenery but I'm starving! When are we gonna find a place to eat?" Johnny whined
Vanity rolled her eyes "Johnny, calm your little ginger self! We just stopped at a service station an hour ago. Have a bit of patience will ya"
He scoffed "But I'm bloody famished, it's obscene. And I'm not wasting my money on overpriced food there. Why couldn't we have stopped at that corner shop about thirty minuets back?"
Steve huffed "Well, Johnny, maybe you should've said something when we we're in the town. Calm ya self down Sherly temple" Paul laughed at Steve's remark as Vanity giggled as well
Johnny propped himself up on his elbow "why don't you just shut up and drive! Didn't think I'd get this hungry, Steve! Thought there'd be more food joints on the road, didn't realize Vanity was gonna take us to the highlands did i!"
"Don't fret, Johnny. There's bound to be a little burger shop or something ey?" Paul said which only seemed to make Johnny more annoyed
"The only burger shops around here are the cows in the fucking fields!" He shouted however was interrupted by Steve
"Oi oi! Your hunger might just be over John. Look over there" he pointed from the window, the boys leaned in between the seats as a small little petrol station was approaching, a large sign stood which read "Petrol-Food-Drink-"
Vanity leant forward "thank god, now i don't have to listen to gob all mighty back there" she laughed
Johnny twitted the back of her head "fuck off"
Steve parked the Van as they all got out. Sidney wrapped his hand around Vanity's, he twirled her as they walked to the door, Johnny eager as ever was the first one in there
Johnny sat in a booth near the window, tapping his fingers on the table as the rest of them sat down, Sid and Vanity sat in the corner of the booth as well, Vanity leant up against Sid as he played with the tips of her hair.
They all grabbed a menu which was printed on paper in small black metal crates which also held a bottle of ketchup and a bottle of mustard each skimming through it.
