Song of the Chapter: Watch the World Burn by Falling in Reverse
Skyla had offered to give the two brothers time to bond for the day, so she went off on her own for a bit. She had won some money in a poker game a few weeks ago, and she decided to go out and buy herself new clothes. She needed them, since some of her clothes were getting really worn out from constantly wearing them. She only had so many outfits, so she didn't really have much to choose from, which was why her clothes were getting worn out.
She decided to go to the nearest store to Bobby's that had cheap clothes. She couldn't spend too much on clothes, since she wanted to have money left over just incase she needed it. She almost always had money with her, even if it was only ten dollars. There was always a chance she'd need it, and she wasn't going to be without when she needed it the most.
While she was out shopping though, grabbing Dean a new shirt while she was at it, she recieved a phone call. She was kind of surprised to see that Dean wad calling her, considering he told her he would spend the day with his brother like she had planned for him to do. It was just something she felt like he was trying to get out of.
"Hello Dean," She greeted,"What has Sam done soon quick?" She questioned, as she placed the new clothes on the counter for the cashier to ring up.
"Sam's gone." Dean said, causing Skyla's eyebrows to furrow.
"What do you mean, 'Sam's gone'?" She asked,"He knew about your brother bonding day, right?"
"Yes!" Dean retorted,"He didn't just--he disappeared Sky! Something happened to him!"
"I'll be on my way home shortly." Skyla replied, sighing to herself.
Skyla paid for the new clothes, before she carried the bags out to the car. She had borrowed Bobby's car, and she couldn't get the trunk to open easily on her own, so she had to put the bags in the passenger seat. Bobby had told her the trunk wasn't easy to open, but she didn't believe him until after she tried to open it and couldn't.
"Dean?!" Skyla called, as she walked into Bobby's house with her bags.
Skyla looked around the house, and an angry sigh left her lips when she didn't find anyone around. She hadn't even taken ten minutes to get back to the house. She dropped her bags on their bed, before she went back downstairs to find some sort of note or clue as to where they were. As she entered the kitchen, she seen a beer with a sticky note that had "READ ME" written on the front. She went over to the beer, and seen a paper folded up underneath, which she assumed was the thing she needed to read.
'Sky,
Bobby and I went to save Sam. We know where he is, and he's in danger. We went to save him before he gets himself killed. Sorry we didn't wait on you, but we couldn't waste any time, and I know you understand. Love you.
- Dean'
Scribbled under Dean's name was the coordinates of where they were headed. The coordinates were written in a different handwriting, so she knew Bobby had given her the coordinates. He must've believed that they were going to need help. Since she figured that's why she was given the coordinates, she quickly ran back out to Bobby's car and headed in the direction of the coordinates.
Hours passed before Skyla was anywhere close to the location the coordinates were. She was confused as to why Sam was in the middle of nowhere. He had no real reason to be there, and she knew there wasn't a case there that he was doing on his own. She figured it must've been something a lot worse than being trapped by a poltergeist in a case gone wrong.
When she was finally near the coordinates, she realized that it had gotten dark outside. The moment she seen the Impala, she knew she was in the right place. She parked right next to the Impala, jumped out the car she was driving, and went to find Dean and Bobby. When she didn't immediately see them, she went to Bobby's car and grabbed her gun.
"Sam!" She heard, and immediately she was able to find Dean and Bobby.
She quickly ran in the direction of the voice, and she found Dean and Bobby. They were looking for Sam, but almost immediately when she met up with Dean and Bobby, they spotted Sam. Everyone started calling for Sam, but then they spotted someone coming up behind Sam. They called for him and told him to watch out, but they were too slow.
"No!" Dean and Skyla shouted simultaneously, as Bobby followed after the man that had stabbed Sam.
Skyla stood a little away from Dean and Sam, as they collapsed on the ground, and Dean held his little brother close to him. Sam was quickly dying in his arms, and Skyla could barely watch it happen. Her heart hurt for Dean, but she didn't know what to do to help him. Sam was dying, and it wasn't like she could miraculously heal him and fix what was happening in front of her.
"We got to get him up." Skyla murmured, as she placed her hand on Dean's shoulder.
Dean didn't say anything, instead he tried to stop his tears and get Sam off the ground. Skyla helped him, though Dean wanted to do almost all of it on his own. Sam was his little brother, and he had failed to protect him. Sam was hurt, in his mind, and he needed to fix him. He didn't see what Skyla seen. He didn't see that Sam was gone, and that he had passed in Dean's arms. Dean didn't want to believe it, so he didn't...
