JASMIN
Jasmin gasped awake as the electric eels splattered over her scales, their burning energy fizzling through her veins.
Just a dream...
She felt better than the last time she had woken up, though her head and wounds still throbbed. She sat up gingerly, wincing as the injury in her side pulsed with pain.
"She's awake!" Pronghorn rushed towards her. "Are you feeling okay? You've had some very serious injuries."
"I'm feeling...better, I guess." Jasmin slumped back down, feeling too exhausted and pained to do anything. Her stomach growled. She flinched as Pronghorn examined her wounds, occasionally brushing against her scales.
"I think you'll be fine," He announced. "Stay here for a few more days."
"Not like I could leave," Jasmin grumbled. "I'll lose both my arms at this rate."
"No, you won't." Pronghorn looked thoughtful for a moment. "Actually, we have something that could...replace your arm. You could walk around better."
"Really?" Jasmin blinked. "Then why didn't the doctor in Possibility give me anything like that?"
"Well, we just experimented it on one of the students here. He was injected with some strange venom, and he can't move his arm."
"Visioner," Jasmin guessed. She'd seen the contraption on the nervous NightWing dragonet which excused him from a few of the techniques in self defense.
Pronghorn nodded. "We could alter the design a bit so it would act as an arm, but it would take a few days."
"I have all the time in the world right now," Jasmin muttered. "I can wait a few days."
"In the meantime," Pronghorn continued. "You should get some sleep."
Jasmin's body screamed at her to close her eyes and slip into the darkness, but she forced herself to stay awake.
If I sleep she'll come get me again, She thought. I won't sleep.
"I'll be fine," Jasmin lied, stifling a yawn. "I'm not tired."
"Sure." Pronghorn didn't look convinced, but he walked away. "Make sure to rest later, then."
No.
