When they said my wedding would be the wedding of the century, my mother, Frances Blanchett took that to heart. Half of my visitors and sponsors are big names in the fashion industry. Half of that are big names from the entertainment industry.
My wedding gown was not designed by me, contrary to what the magazines have speculated. My mother and Lola Lu designed my wedding dress. They were able to morph modern and traditional Filipino bridal gown designs in mine. I don't know how they did it but they did.
We had our civil wedding in our province where Philip and I first met. It was intimate and only our families and closest friends were there to witness it. The esplanade was closed off and that's where we held our wedding. We exchanged our first vows beside the river and the tree that was there when we started.
This larger-than-life wedding my mother put up will be held at Versailles. It was a shock how we fit a thousand people in the club. It never had visitors that many in a day but Carrie accommodated us given the six months' notice we gave. Winter didn't look happy but he didn't let our wedding be ruined.
"Akala ko hindi na ito makikita, apo."
I wiped Lola Lu's eyes. "Masaya po ako na narito kayo, Lola."
"Akala ko ay tatanda na akong hindi makikita kung gaano ka kaganda ngayong araw."
Niyakap ko siya ng mahigpit. I spent so much time with her since we came back from Paris. She and Lolo Lito stayed with us in the club.
"This is your day, sweetheart."
I turned to Frances and hugged her too. "I wouldn't be here if it weren't for you, Maman."
"I love you, sweetie."
"I love you forever, Maman."
Sumilip ang coordinator sa kwarto namin. "It's time."
Natawa si Frances sa akin. "You are married to him technically, Marceline. How can you still be nervous?"
"There are much more people now, Maman."
"Oh shush. Own that aisle like you own the runway, child. Me and your Lola Lu will be right with you. And Philip will be waiting for you too."
I know.
The garden was decorated like it was pulled from a fairytale. I can see the ocean of people in front of me but my eyes were only trained in the tuxedo-clad gentleman at the altar. He was wearing the tuxedo I made for him. The one I made for him when I was 19 years old.
My Lola Lu and Mama Frances will walk me down the aisle from the middle.
I took a deep breath as I faced Philip. His eyes are glowing with love and admiration for me.
"You're breathtaking." He whispered.
"You are so handsome," I whispered back.
We giggled before looking at the officiating person.
"Our life was like a movie. As my favourite singer goes, this love is alive from the dead. I guess we both felt dead and we gave each other life back when we reunited. It's a story we'll tell to our kids and grandkids. I am proud to be standing here before you, Philip. I am happy and blessed to swear my life to you. We both know how far we can go for each other. We know how it is to be separated by death which makes our union much more meaningful. I entrust my life and future with you, Philip."
He kissed my hand before saying his vow.
"You're my greatest love, my one true love, and the love of my life. Whatever I may call it, you are the only woman who has captured me and enchanted me this much. All those years we have waited and endured before we get here are worth it if I can spend a lifetime with you in exchange. I won't let you slip through my fingers again. I love you, Marceline. Not even death will change that."
As he lifted my veil and kissed me deeply, I knew we would have the most interesting adventure ahead of us.
"I love you." Sabi sa akin ni Philip.
"I love you most."
The reception was interesting thanks to our friends of course. We're happy that our family and friends enjoyed the day despite Philip and me getting lost in each others' eyes.
As he carried me inside our home, he was just looking at me.
"I have made love to you countless times but each one will always be special."
"I look forward to each night you make love to me."
As his face descended to claim my lips, I massaged his nape until my hands tangled in his soft hair.
"Help me out?" Sabi ko rito. I was wearing a more lightweight white dress after I got out of my wedding gown.
"Gladly."
As he unbuttoned each one, he dropped kisses on my shoulders. Shivers ran through my body as I inhaled the scent and felt his warm body next to me.
I faced him when the dress pooled at my feet. I took off his jacket and shirt. I ran my hands down his chest and his muscular abdomen. I even traced the V leading to his abdomen. When he was left with his boxers, I pulled it down as I kneeled between his legs.
"Marceline..."
I ran my fingernail lightly against his hard length. "You know how much I love to pleasure you, Philip."
He held my head gently before guiding me to the speed that he wanted. A few minutes later, he was fucking my mouth with so much need and passion. When his cum dripped down my throat, I licked him clean all the while with his eyes on mine.
He carried me until we got to our bedroom. When he laid me down on the bed, he worshipped my body like never before. He took his time to kiss and fondle the right places. I wasn't eager either. We were taking our time as if relishing each second our skin touched.
When he was about to enter me, I stopped his chest.
"I stopped birth control, Philip. I think we have enjoyed each other's company enough. I think we can add a little one to our little family."
He smiled and gave me a peck on the lips.
"Of course my wife. Let's make it good then."
When he thrusted to the hilt and tears escaped my eyes, I smiled in contentment. I hope and pray that we get blessed with an angel soon.
