A few days after the incident I was back at work, but I was told to stay behind the counter and not do any heavy lifting. I wasn't listening though and when people weren't looking, I was working and doing more than I needed to. As I was being watched by Loki who wasn't leaving the shop, I heard the bell above the door go off and I saw Nat and Steve come walking in.

"Hey you two!" I said excited. Nat gasped seeing me, rushed over and hugged me not caring that I was behind the counter.

"I'm so happy to see you up and moving." Nat said and I chuckled.

"Nat, I told you she was up and moving." Steve said.

"Right but you could have lied! I had to see if for myself. You were attacked." Nat said and I sighed and nodded.

"I'm okay now. Steve was my knight in shining armor." I said and smiling at Steve. He instantly blushed and looked down at the floor.

"I didn't what any human would have done..."

"Obviously not...I mean the person who did this, left me to die." I said and Steve just sighed knowing the truth.

Steve wanted to speak up but didn't know a way to bring it up without saying what he knew.

"So, changing the subject. What are you in for today?" I asked and Nat showed me the cake and food order form.

"Agatha asked me to fill this out and we finally nailed everything down, so I wanted to turn it in to her." Nat said and I half nodded.

"Come with me and we will see if she is busy." I said and Nat nodded. I walked from behind the counter.

"Where are you going?" Loki asked. I groaned.

"I'm going to skydive and them jump off the barn roof..." I said and she just glared at me. "I'm going to the kitchen." I said and Loki just half nodded. Steve looked at me as we walked in.

"You have a babysitter?"

"Yes! She insists on trying to do too much." Loki spoke up and Steve looked at me.

"You need to take it easy Autumn." Steve said and I just shrugged. We reached the kitchen.

"Agatha!" I called out not seeing her among the small kitchen staff we had. She came walking from the back room.

"Hey. You okay?" Agatha said and I point to Nat.

"She brought in the menu for the wedding." I said and Agatha got excited and rushed over taking it from her.

"Let's go in my office and talk." Agatha said as her and Nat went to walk away.

"Am I needed?" Steve asked and Nat shook her head.

"No, just hang out. I can find you when I'm done." Nat said and they walked away. I looked at Steve.

"Buy you a cup of coffee?" I asked Steve knowing we had a coffee cart.

"Yeah, sure, you can take a break as well. I know you haven't today..." Steve trailed off and I laughed.

"Don't call me out Steve." I said and we laughed as we walked outside to the coffee cart we had. Once we ordered drinks, we sat on some of the hay bales, and I just watched families and I sighed.

"How are you feeling?" Steve asked and I shrugged.

"I mean I know I shouldn't be here, and I know I should have taken some time off, but I couldn't see John running this place without me honestly. We would have lost sales most likely." I said and Steve half nodded.

"I see that Autumn, but you also need to make sure you are safe and healthy." Steve said.

"I know and I feel fine Steve, I promise." I said.

We were silent for a few minutes, and I sighed.

"I don't know if I ever really thanked you for everything you did for me. I mean you found me, called 9-1-1 and even took me to the hospital. So, thank you Steve. Truly, it means a lot." I said and she just shrugged and shook his head.

"I did what anyone else would have done..." Steve said, and I shook my head.

"No, you didn't, you went above and beyond. You were there before my brother..." I said and Steve just shrugged as he took a sip of his coffee.

"Right but in John's defense no one could get ahold of him. He said he was at home sleeping." Steve said and I groaned.

"Yeah, sleeping off a drunk most likely..." I trailed off. Steve just looked at me confused and I sighed. "What people don't know is John never used to be the way he is. Has he aways been an ass...sure. That's John's way but the constant drinking, attitude and everything with the way he is acting now...that's all new. Since Olivia disappeared, he has been a changed man. I know it has to do with we don't know who took her or what even really happened. All I know is she's gone and possibly not coming back and John coming to terms with it having Garrett isn't an easy thing for him." I said and Steve just half nodded.

"Listen, I think you have the right to know that I went and talk to Karli the other day." Steve admitted.

"You what?" I asked.

"I just wanted her side of what happened and there are things you should know." Steve said and then looked out and saw John walking towards us. "Not now though..." Steve quickly added as John reached us.

"What are you doing out here?" John asked.

"On a break, y'all didn't want me doing too much." I said and he groaned.

"Well, I fixed the lights on the trail..." John said.

"About time, only been on you to do it for days." I said and he growled. I sighed and grumbled to myself. "Thank you for fixing the lights." I said and he just half nodded and went to walk away.

"You still hanging around here?" John asked and Steve nodded.

"Came with my friend who is getting married. She needed to drop something off and didn't want to go alone and her husband couldn't come." Steve explained.

"Just an all-around good guy huh? Or very own Captain America." John said and I groaned at his comic book reference.

"John, stop...please." I said and he just shot me a look.

Before anything else could be said Nat came outside.

"Steve, I've finished." Nat said. She came over to us and I smiled seeing her as she sat next to me.

"So, I just invited Agatha and I wanted to invite you as well. My bachelorette party is next weekend. Nothing crazy. My sister is coming in and we were going to hang out and have a girl's night at the house. Pizza, drinks, manicures, pedicures...I even make jewelry as my job, so we were going to do that. I would love for you to come." Nat said and I just sightly shook my head.

"Oh, you don't have to invite me -..."

"I know I don't have to, but I want to." Nat said and we laughed. John rolled his eyes and walked away.

"Well, I would love to." I said and handed her my phone to put her number in so we could exchange info. Nat then got up.

"I'll be inside when you're ready." Nat said and looked at Steve.

"Well, I better head out, I think Bucky will be missing his fiancée." Steve said and we laughed. He got up to walk away and then stopped. "Would you like to have dinner with me tomorrow night?" Steve asked and I just looked at him.

"Like a date?"

"Not like a date, an actual date." Steve said and I smiled.

"I would love to." I said and Steve smiled.

"Perfect, I'll call tonight, and we can get the details planned." Steve said and I nodded. He leaned down and kissed my cheek. "Happy to see you up and moving." Steve said and left. I watched him leave as someone came up behind me.

"Look at you finally getting yourself a man." John said. I rolled my eyes, ignored him and went back inside.
