Your eyes shot open and you tried to jump to your feet....but it was too late.

All you remembered seeing was a bright light before everything went completely dark. And once you stirred back into consciousness, you had no idea how much time had passed.

You wearily rubbed your eyes, trying to adjust to the light around you. While doing so, you also tried to sit up.

"Ugh, what a strange dream, it felt so real." It took a while before you were completely awake and aware. But after a minute or two of looking around and connecting the pieces, the realization finally hit you.

"Wait a minute," Your eyes widened. "Where am I!?" You jumped to your feet and looked around in a panic. All you saw were large rocks and crystals sticking up from the ground and ones seemingly just floating in the air. And up above your eyes met with a vast, maroon sky.

"No....no, this can't be real. If so then that means- "

You obviously weren't in your bedroom anymore, and you certainly weren't in Heartland either. This place, with it's familiar landscape and sky, you didn't want to believe it but you were, in fact, standing in Barian World. But why? And how? The only thing you knew was that Vector was somehow involved.

You remembered that haunting voice by your side and a chill ran down your spine.

"He must've brought me here for a reason." But what could that be?

You took a few steps forward and scanned the environment more closely. It was then that you realized that nobody seemed to be around.

'That's strange.'

You thought about exploring the area out of curiosity but something about the place made you feel incredibly uneasy. And the fact that no Barian was around either only added to your worry. In the end, you decided to try to find a way home. Just standing in Barian World was enough to make you feel uncomfortable and long for the comfort of your home. It also made you remember so many unpleasant memories, many of which consisted of Ray.

'Or Vector, I should say.' You shook your head bitterly.

"There must be some way out of here," You began racking your brain for some ideas. "If I remember correctly, you have to jump through a portal or something."

You took a few more steps forward and looked down to see a long staircase before you. And it was then that you realized you had been resting on a throne of some sort the entire time. There was no doubt that Vector placed you there. But that just added to your confusion. You shook your head again. No, now wasn't the time to think about these things. You had to escape this place first. As you made your way down the stairs however, you heard pairs of footsteps and voices slowly approaching.

That made another wave of panic hit you. "Is that-? Oh no," You booked it down the last few steps. "I need to hide somewhere!"

You tried to keep your voice down and took shallow breaths so they wouldn't hear you. Your eyes darted all over the place until they finally landed on one particularly large rock that provided enough space to hide behind.

You practically jumped towards it and hid behind it as two figures came into view. You slowly peeked out from the side of the rock and gasped slightly.

'Wait, those are the two Barians that dueled Shark and Kite.' You were sure of it, and as you watched them, you knew they weren't too happy about something. They talked back and forth, probably arguing about that said 'something,' and you assumed it was about Vector's plan and how it had failed.
