'She- She was planning this from the start!'
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As Yuma's voice drew closer and closer, a victorious smile graced your lips. And very leisurely, you stopped the duel and put your cards away. Vector raised his head and looked at you strangely, obviously confused by your actions.
"What do you think you're doing?"
"What do you think I'm doing?"
"Are you finally giving up?" He asked with a notorious glint in his eye.
You simply scoffed. "As if."
Once your deck was safely tucked away in your pocket, you contemplated on whether or not to take off your duel disk too, but after remembering your previous mistake and seeing as how you may need it later, you decided to keep it on.
"I don't need to duel you anymore because someone else is going to do it for me."
Vector stayed silent for a moment before muttering. "....Yuma?"
You smiled brightly when he said that name. "That's right."
You turned around and began to walk away with a victorious glint in your eyes. If you knew Vector like you thought you did, then he wouldn't even try to transform in front of so many people. If he did, then the news would spread quick and the other Barians would soon find out that he wasn't going along with their plan. And in the meantime, you could escape him and finally group up with the rest of your friends.
Everything would finally go well and you could just forget about this ever happening, but there was still one thing that would prevent you from just 'running away' from this. That strange mark he left on your chest was still there, and based on his words from earlier, it seemed to serve as some kind of tracking device. So even if you escape now there's no doubt that he'd find you again.
The thought made you feel bitter again. 'No, there has to be a way to get rid of this. Maybe Astral can help me out.'
As you distanced yourself from the Barian, you heard him call out to you. "And where do you think you're going (y/n)?!" His tone had now become that crazed one you absolutely hated.
"You should know by now that it doesn't matter where you run or hide!" His voice was sounding more insane by the minute. "I'll always find you! Always! And you'll be by my side whether you like it or not!"
You shuddered again. There was definitely something wrong with him. He sounded obsessive over you and you still couldn't find out why. He claimed it was because of love but you just couldn't believe it. And why was he so obsessed with keeping you by his side? It made no sense, it was like you abandoned him some time before and he wouldn't allow it to happen again.
You shook your head. No point in trying to read that psycho's mind, right now you just had to get away.
And so you sprinted away this time, no longer soaking in that victorious feeling from earlier. There were fast footsteps behind you, Vector had also began tailing you. But he didn't make it very far since a certain someone stood in his way.
"Vector!" It was Yuma's voice. "What are you doing here!?"
Vector grunted in annoyance and took a step back. "I don't have time to deal with you!"
"Well I have all the time in the world Vector! Looks like you haven't learned your lesson yet!" With that, Yuma activated his duel disk and duel gazer.
"You're as annoying as ever Yuma." Vector sneered, but he also got prepared to continue his duel.
