16. Revival

"What, what is that sound?" All you saw was black. And all you heard was a continuous beeping sound.

"Why can't I move? I'm.....so tired." Your fingers twitched slightly. Then you heard something strange. It was small, then it grew louder. It was, crying?

"Crying? Is there someone crying? No, it sounds like more than one person." You used all your energy to try to open your eyes. Slowly, rays of light entered your vision. You blinked once, then again. You were looking at a ceiling. You looked to the left, there was a wall. Then to the right, there were multiple figures by your side. Your mouth was dry, but you managed to say something.

"W-wha..t happened?" Even though it was very soft, the people next to you heard it clearly.

"(Y/n)!!!" This time your eyes were completely open.

"Y-ou guys?" Your vision cleared up and sure enough, your friends were beside you. Yuma, Tori, Cathy, Flip, Caswell, Bronk, everyone. "But..how?" You were cut off when Yuma hugged you tightly.

"Your okay (y/n)! We were all worried that you wouldn't wake up!" He sniffed.

"We thought that you hadn't come back." Cathy sobbed. You were still confused. All you remembered was falling after Vector. Now you wound up here. Someone sat next to you.

"Are you feeling better?" It was Kite. He was here too.

"We should let her rest Kite. I bet she's really confused right now." You turned at the sudden voice. Your eyes shot wide open.

"Rio!?" What!? How could she be next to you? What was happening?

"Don't worry, I'll explain everything." Yuma interrupted. He motioned for the others to wait outside. Leaving the two of you alone in the room.

"What happened Yuma? I don't understand." You whispered.

"It's a long story (y/n), but you'll understand when I tell you." He smiled.

*After A Quick Explanation*

"Wha? So you were able to bring me back? As well as everyone else?"

He nodded. "Yup."

"And the Barian Emperors?"

"Yes. I wanted them to live a normal human life, with us!" He chuckled. "Especially, one of them." You knew who he was talking about.

"I see, but, why am I in the hospital?" You asked.

"Oh! About that. When Astral brought you back, you still had some sort of serious injury on your back. Luckily you were still alive, but you needed to be treated immediately." You let out a small 'oh', you just now remembered your spine injury. Apparently it stayed with you when you returned.

"How long have I been here? From the sound of it, you guys were really worried."

"You were in the hospital for three days straight. When you didn't wake up, we were scared that you didn't make it." He admitted.

"Pfft, I always pull through Yuma." You laughed. "Did you seriously doubt me?"

"Hehe, of course not, we knew you would wake up soon." You smiled softly, then looked at the ceiling again.

"Yuma.."

"Yeah?"

"How...how is Vector doing?" You hesitated a bit. He also stood quiet for a few seconds.

"Well," He looked outside the window, avoiding eye contact. "We haven't seen him since he was revived."

"Ah.." You brought your hands to your chest. "So, you haven't been able to find him?"
