(Meanwhile With Yuma) *hours prior to your POV*
With a final attack, Kite and Quinton successfully defeated Scritch and created enough energy for the portal.
"Yuma! You have to travel to Astral World and save Astral!" Kite ordered.
"I know Kite, I'll save Astral if it's the last thing I do!"
Yuma stood tall on the machine, preparing himself to be sent to Astral World. Kite quickly got to work and flipped the switch. A few loud sounds were heard and a bright ray of light nearly blinded him.
"Did it work?" Quinton asked.
"I think so."
As their vision returned, Yuma was nowhere to be seen. The interdimensional gate had worked perfectly.
"Do you think he'll return safely?"
"Hopefully he does."

*Your POV*
Tick Tick Tick Tick
The clock marched on with its gentle ticks wandering through the house. Hours turned to days, and during those days, it seemed to get quieter and quieter. That was to be expected since you utterly refused to leave your own home. Your mom figured something must have happened to you in school so she allowed you. (What a great mom. Hah)
You? You were in your room listening to your favorite songs. The quietness did sorta bug you so you found yourself listening to music more and more. As for what was happening outside, you tried to ignore it as much as possible. But that didn't stop the bang you felt on your chest and head. I can't just stay here forever. What if they need me? Those questions filled your mind. Heck, it was more difficult to ignore those thoughts than going outside.
*sigh* "Nothing new here." Your eyes scrolled through the webpage. Another way you kept yourself away from reality was ,of course, the internet. You had a bored expression on you while you watched some videos.
~Grumble~
"How long has it been since I ate? Guess I should take a snack break." You took off your headphones and rubbed your eyes.
"I think I'll make myself a sandwich." You spoke lazily.
You stretched out a little before leaving your room. Making sure you didn't accidentally look outside one of the windows. When you reached the kitchen you hurried and took out the contents for your sandwich.
"Looks like we're running low on food again. I'll remind mom to go shopping later." You closed the fridge and placed everything on the table. You hummed (new favorite song) while making your snack and pouring some juice. After listening to it for so long, it was a breeze to hum the lyrics and beat.
"And there!" You picked up your sandwich and took a big bite. "Mmm" You smiled happily to yourself and went into the living room.
"Let's see if anything good is on right now."
You slouched back on the couch and picked up the remote. You flicked on the television and browsed through the channels.
"Nope. Nope. Boring. Nothing interesting." You said as you went by every channel.
"BREAKING NEWS! Heartland crisis!"
Your hand completely froze up when you heard those words. As if by instinct, your body leaned forward and your focus landed on the news reporter.
