After three weeks, Daisy was busy reorganising her bedroom in the Weasley's house in Surrey. She decided to move her desk next to the window and pushed it closer to the wall. As she was working, Molly appeared at the door. "Darling, your mother is downstairs," she said. Daisy was surprised. "My mum?" she asked, puzzled. "Yes, Narcissa's downstairs." Daisy quickly rearranged her chair and desk and walked downstairs to find her mother in the kitchen. Narcissa stood up and walked towards her daughter, calling out "Daisy, darling." They embraced each other tightly.

Finally, pulling apart, Narcissa immediately inquired "Oh sweetheart. Where's that boy you're with?" Daisy quickly signalled to George who had just arrived downstairs, approaching them with a broad smile on his face. "Hey beautiful," he said, running his fingers through her hair. Daisy introduced him to her mother, "Mum, this is George. George, this is my mum, Narcissa." George greeted Narcissa politely, "It's lovely to meet you, Narcissa." Narcissa then took Daisy's hand and led her upstairs while George followed them up.

Once they reached Daisy's bedroom, Narcissa sat down on the bed and motioned for her daughter to sit next to her. Daisy could see the confusion in her mother's eyes.

After a few moments of silence, Narcissa spoke up. "Daisy, why are you dating a Weasley?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Daisy hesitated, unsure of how to answer. "I don't know, Mum," she finally replied, avoiding her mother's gaze. Narcissa wasn't satisfied with her answer. "You don't know?" she repeated, her voice raising slightly. "You should know why you're with someone. It's not just about liking them." Daisy shifted uncomfortably, feeling guilty for not having a proper answer. "I...I just like him," she murmured softly.

Narcissa continued to stare at her daughter, questions flashing in her eyes. "Did he touch you?" she asked after a pause. "Did he make you get with him?" Daisy shook her head. "No, of course not," she replied, feeling slightly insulted. "Mum, George is wonderful. He would never do anything like that." Narcissa seemed to relax at Daisy's answers, but she still looked unconvinced. "I just want to make sure you're safe," she said, placing a hand gently on Daisy's arm. "I don't want you to get hurt."

Daisy appreciated her mother's concern, but she couldn't help feeling frustrated. She knew George was safe, and she wished her mother would trust her judgement. "I know, Mum, but I'm okay," she assured her. "George makes me happy." Narcissa's gaze softened, and she pulled Daisy into a tight embrace. "That's all I want for you, sweetheart," she whispered. "Just be careful, okay?" Daisy nodded, feeling comforted by her mother's love. She knew she could always count on her, even if they didn't always see eye to eye.

After Narcissa left, Daisy sat on her bed, staring out the window lost in thought. She wasn't sure what to make of the conversation she had just had with her mother.

Her thoughts were interrupted when George appeared at the door. "Hey, you okay?" he asked, walking towards her. Daisy shrugged, not sure how to answer. George sat beside her, running a hand down her back. "Talk to me, Daisy," he encouraged, pulling her into his lap and hugging her tightly.

Daisy leaned into him and let out a deep breath. "My mum came to visit," she began, finally finding the words. George immediately tensed up. "And?" he prompted, sensing something was off. "She asked me why I was dating a Weasley," Daisy explained, feeling the anxiety build up in her chest. "And then she asked me if you did anything...you know..." George's face softened, and he held Daisy even closer. "I would never do anything like that, you know that, right?" he said, his voice filled with sincerity. Daisy nodded, feeling reassured in George's embrace. "I know," she replied softly. "It's just frustrating, you know? I want her to trust me and trust my judgement."

George ran a hand down her back soothingly. "I understand," he said, placing a kiss on her forehead. "And I trust you. That's all that matters." Daisy let out a sigh, feeling grateful for George's unwavering support. "Thank you," she said, tilting her head back to look at him. George smiled down at her, his eyes filled with love. "Always," he replied, pulling her in for another hug.
