It was another day of which I was going through the motions of work, this man had just entered the restaurant. Bulk of a man, wearing a weird mask. He asked for black coffee asking if it's to go he simply nodded, weirdo. I entered it on the screen and told him it'd be out in a few.
He sat down at the bar, it wasn't open. But during the day most people who sit there were just waiters for their food, I called to him once his coffee was ready. Asking him to pay he paid in cash, counting it out I paused as I caught a note. Tucking it into my pocket I put the cash in the register and sent him on his way.
During my break I pulled out the note a skimmed it, the majority of it explained that he knew who I was and the basics of my situation. And due to my parents I was signed up to be drafted for the Air Force, I simply stared at the note. Why was he giving me a heads up...? Plus I'm in no mental condition to be sent out...right?
I tossed to note and went back to work, it wasn't till I was walking my dog later that night that the man actually approached me. This man towering for his size walked up to me, saying that he's required to (because of the paperwork) take me in after I pack. I just stared at him
"You're joking right? There's no way you're forcing me to join the Air Force" I partially spat to him, I hardly even knew this man and it had already accelerated to this point. Rushing was he?
He simply grunted, not breaking his stoic demeanor "you have to, or I'll have to use more than nice force" he said laying it out, not even giving me a moment to process.
Keeping my mouth shut I just nodded and mumbled a forced "when will I leave?"
"Tomorrow, no later than 5:00" he stared at me with an unwavering intensity
"...afternoon right?" God don't make me wake up early
"Morning, suck it up and pack. I'll have my team drag you out of your house if your late" then just as quickly as he had approached me he had left
First this man randomly approached me, at night keep in mind. And now is demanding I pack for the Air Force....fuck my life.
