The days passed by, I lost count by now honestly. I've learnt the basics of a gun, how to hold it, shoot it the safety of it. But that's basically it, grazed over it and never went back. I progressed significantly since last time I remembered, gaz was less on my ass and more giving me advice. So there's that
I had met mask man a few more times but the interactions were always short, or there was almost none. I was getting more free time and that was dangerous, now knowing I had gaps were i could cut. So I kept myself busy, taking up any and all chores or jobs. The others might see me as despite to please but I genuinely just needed a distraction.
At the moment I was cleaning out one of the many storage rooms, since the team needed supplies and well room for storage. So I offered to clear up a storage room while also looking for their needed supplies, I was covered in dust and a lot of grease. Where did the grease come from? Only god knows
I was elbow deep in a crate when I felt someone tap my shoulder, looking behind me I saw no name man, that was my nickname for him now. No name man, and it suited him because well. I didn't know his name
"When yer done with that I want to go over some things with you, so meet me in my office. Soap will show you where" the man said flatly, as if he was reading off a script
He left before I could say anything, I stared at the empty doorway where he just was. This man was weird..really weird, I sighed and went back to what i was doing
After an hour or so I was done, I gave the needed supplies to soap and had him lead me to no names office. Standing in front of the door I knocked
"Come in" no name said
I pushed open the door and walked inside, such a basic plain ass office. No name really didn't have a taste did he?
"So what 'things' did you want to go over?" I crossed my arms
The man gestured for me to sit down across from him, taking the seat in the uncomfortable chair I waited. The man finally set aside the paperwork he was looking at and pinned his attention on me.
"We haven't had a proper introduction yet" he didn't say it as if he was addressing something. He stated it like a fact
I nodded slowly "yes, finally noticed?" I'm already running my mouth
He raised a brow but made no comment "Lieutenant ghost, you'll call me lieutenant or anything related to the sense"
I hum, indeed a higher rank than soap. I didn't say anything as he went on about how I'll be introduced to fake mission scenarios where I'll have to act in real time. Telling me since I've improved I'm going to move closer to actual missions, meaning I'll be handling guns. And different types of training
Fun...so my schedule will be filled back up. That's good I suppose, no breaks mean no chance for me to harm myself. He went on just telling me what to expect now, and that I'll have to be able to manage heavy things
I nodded along, knowing I had to agree because I had no other choice. New schedule new training. God why is everything rushed?
