I walk outside, the night sky darker than usual with its stars glittering across the sky. The cold bites at my skin as I walked my dog, the faint aching pain of the beating my parents gave to me was still subtly present just beneath my clothes.
As I walked around the dim neighborhood, I felt the intense feeling of being watched. With a soul burning intensity that I could practically feel in the back of my head, odd. Nobody else was out at this time, maybe it was the weed I smoked earlier.
Walking around aimlessly letting my dog do her business I caught a glimpse of something moving within the background of the houses, an odd feeling creeping up my spine. Distracting me from the pain of the beating I took, what the hell was going on?
Eventually, I was done with being outside in the cold with nothing but a shaggy shirt and old pants. I walked back towards my house, bracing myself for still angry parents. Walking up the driveway I pulled out my keys, fumbling with them for a moment I saw the same movement again. I paused staring out into the dark, now I know for a fact something was following me.
I decided to ignore it, finally getting the key into the lock I enter the house. Licking my shoes off and setting my dogs leash aside I just stood there for a moment listening, I, thankfully. Couldn't hear anything so I knew my parents were asleep, I crept towards the basement. The vast concrete walls and the unforgiving cold is what I called the comfort of my room, calling my dog to me I walked down the steps. Stepping on the landing I walked over to my bed, flipping down I passed out from sheer exhaustion of the day.
