I've been buying myself two ice-creams on the 11th of February for 5 years now.

Today is no different, I get out of the car for my ice-creams, I pick my favorite, rainbow sherbet. Even though the weather is pretty much perfect it's still technically winter and I know that my grandma would for sure be shocked if I told her I was eating ice-cream at this time. But it's become tradition, I cannot skip it and risk forgetting.

If only I could meet the guy that decided that ice-cream is limited to summer I would want to have a word with him and maybe run him over with my car. I wouldn't even mind ruining my new car.

Pledis arranged a meeting for today at 2 p.m. I'm really not in the mood to go but they said they've got a new drama for me and the manager thinks I might like it. I am skeptical, last time I got casted I wasn't important to the show, and I'm tired of not rising higher. Not to sound too proud but I think I'm pretty good at my job so I believe that I deserve my own drama for once.

After I finish eating it I drive to my apartment, before heading to the meeting. I've talked with Soonyoung, he told me he wasn't called to the meeting but since he regularly keeps in contact with some of the others he knows that Seungkwan, Vernon and DK are also gonna be there. I was expecting someone to ask who's gonna go on our Seventeen groupchat, but since Seungkwan wasn't the one to light up the conversation no one bothered to ask.

I haven't even talked to the others since Seungkwan's birthday, when he invited us for drinks. Well others, except for Hoshi, he's always around, and Seungcheol since we keep in touch very often. I also had tea with Minghao about a week ago, he invited me and (weirdly) Dk to have tea. We all still care for each other, we are family after all, so somehow we always find a way back to each other.

I still wish they had given me more information about today, but even my manager was partly clueless.

I enter the room after knocking as a pair of eyes settle on my figure. I see Vernon raising his eyes from his phone to salute me. I take a breath of relief, I was afraid I was gonna be late but apparently I'm not.

"Hello, am I late?" I ask just to make sure.

"No, the director hasn't come yet" Vernon tells me, so I take a seat across from him, my shoulders facing the door as I wait. They always tell us to come earlier rather than later but they never respect it themselves, I guess that's the privilege that power gives you.

After a minute I hear a knock and I tell them to come in. Jeonghan and Dokyeom enter the room, the two laughing at something I'm not sure of until I see Mingyu coming in with his shirt freshly stained with what looks like coffee. Of course he had to make an entrance.

They stop laughing and sit around the table when they notice the director heading into the room with Seungkwan trailing behind him. Out of the corner of my eye I see Mingyu sitting in front of me trying to wipe away the stain. I can't help but roll my eyes.

"I'm sorry I called all of you to today's meeting I should have just summoned Mingyu and Wonwoo" Mr. Park says hurriedly, sounding apologetic. "But I thought it would have been easier this way since we need to start as soon as possible"

I eye him confused, what is he talking about? It's not like he's talking about a school project and besides why me and Mingyu. As my mind gets full with thoughts the director answers my questions by handing us a sheet of paper.

I start reading it.

Bittersweet: a Korean adaptation of the Thai BL "bad buddy"

I'm not surprised it's a bl, Pledis has worked under Hybe on a lot of them. I know Seungkwan and Vernon have worked on one, so it makes sense for them to be in this one too. So I keep reading, skipping some of the credits searching for my role and the cast.
