As I wait for our scene to start I chew on a mint, looking at Wonwoo who is touching up his makeup one last time.
We hear the command to position ourselves and I start to imagine an impenetrable bubble around us that's invisible to the few people standing outside. I take a deep breath, my heart threatening to explode from my chest.
Eunji quickly walks over to us with a small smile on her lips.
"Guys, even my grandmother can hear your heartbeats and she's buried six feet underground" She looks at the both of us, a smirk playing around her lips, and we nod. "Just calm down and do what you do best"
"Kiss?" Wonwoo speaks and I bite my lip in amusement, a bit of the pressure starting to fade away.
"Well, I meant act but that's fine too" She smiles before leaving us.
"Wonu, I apologize for any mistake I will probably do" I tell him chuckling and he smiles.
"Come on, you can never do wrong" He says after a second and for some reason my brain stops working, his words shut all the insecurities inside of me.
"Why do I feel like I always do then?" My tone leaves the words when I'm with you unsaid and he looks at me as if I have spoken them, what seems like fondness crossing his eyes.
"I see no wrong. You just have to look and you'll see that it's all inside of your head, and it's all part of the past" The words I never thought would be spoken come out of his mouth and I almost feel a tear slip away as I look into his dark eyes. When he introduced himself as my friend I tried not to think of it too much, but now, after what he just said, I might think he's forgiven me entirely, although I don't know what I did to earn his forgiveness.
"Three" I hear the director's voice and we take place. "Two, one, action!"
I take a seat on the bed next to where Wonwoo has sat and is now packing a bag. I steady my mind, after all it's Wonwoo that's in front of me, as he said, it can't go wrong and even if it does nothing will happen, we'll just start over.
"So you're leaving?" I ask.
"I have to get back to them Minjun" He says talking about his 'parents', his eyes fixed on the bag in his hands.
"Can't you stay one more night?"
He looks at the clock turning to eight p.m. and then he turns his gaze on me, his compelling but indecisive stare analyzes my features. He contemplates the idea while looking at every corner of my face and I feel myself get closer to him. Our noses are inches apart and I wait for him to pronounce the words.
It would be better for all of this to end as soon as possible, with no delays, no unnecessary long stares, and no retakes. But it's impossible, we both want to execute this scene in the best way so we have to put our whole selves into it, even if it means torture.
"Just one" He breathes and closes his eyes just before he closes the space between us, his lips colliding with mine. My nostrils fill with a peachy scent as I stop breathing for a second, my mouth starting to slowly move with his.
Our movement is slow but I deepen it, revealing my character's desire, and he welcomes it as if harmonizing with me. I feel high with the taste of his mouth on mine and the touch of his hands on my back. They slowly go to the hem of my shirt, lifting it over my head and making me break off him for a split second making me catch my breath. But as soon as the shirt is off I close the distance once again, trying to portray my character's distress and desperation on their last night and strangely not finding it difficult at all.
