Part 18 V.2.0

(You should all know that some things about the characters will change, their energy, their personalities, their feelings toward eachother, all of that because it's been years and the version of them that exists in my head is far different from back then, but they won't suddenly be toxic or anything, don't worry. Honestly, I might go back and edit the early chapters and start a new book entirely heavily based on but not the exact same as this one.)

Hinata and Kageyama woke up the same way they always did the next morning, and quickly got dressed. Hinata was practically jumping in his excitement. He bounced around the room, fully dressed and ready to go while Kageyama meandered along, doing his morning routine at his normal pace.
"Hurry up Tobi! We need to go meet Kogane and Goshi!" Kageyama huffed and turned to look at his boyfriend with a hard stare.
"Let me wash my face, and brush my teeth, then I'll put on my shoes and we can head downstairs, please." Hinata nodded dutifully and jumped up on Kageyama's shoulders when he turned around. The setter huffed but steadied himself quickly, rolling his eyes as his boyfriend got comfortable on his back. He proceeded to inconvenience Shoyo repeatedly whilst washing his face and brushing his teeth, before he finally walked over to the bed and ag down, leaning forward and grabbing his shoes to put them on. Shoyo giggled and fell back into the bed, rolling away to stand up and wait for his boyfriend to be done.
"And I'm done," Kageyama grunted as he stood up, reaching out to ruffle up Shoyo's hair. Hinata grinned and bounced out of his seat, rushing over to the door and flinging it open, quickly running downstairs to join their friends.
When they arrive downstairs, it was to the sight of an assortment of people in various degrees of exhaustion. Most notably, Kuroo, Daichi, and Bokuto were awake, all wearing practically the same clothes with rags around their necks, clearly sweating, indicating that they'd gone out for a run, and Akaashi and Kenma were practically asleep where they sat at the bar, Hinata giggle when he saw Kenma, no doubt that Kuroo had dragged him out of bed.
"Y'know, you could stand to be a little more subtle." Hinata whipped around at the sneering voice. Tsukishima and Yamaguchi were standing in the doorway, Tsuki's long arms wrapped around Yamaguchi's waist and his head on the others shoulder.
"You're not doing very well at hiding that you're in a relationship, so if that's the goal, you're failing." He pointed out, much to Kageyama's chagrin.
"Could you like, not. This early?" Hinata asked, glaring at Tsukishima.
"I'm just saying, all you two do is aim googly eyes at eachother and you wear his clothes more often than you wear your own. You two spend every waking moment with eachother, all cuddled up in eachother's space, I don't have a problem with it, other than finding the two of you generally repulsing, but if you're trying to act like you're not dating, then you should start acting like you're not dating." Hinata held his glare while Kageyama huffed in annoyance.
"You're literally insufferable, would it kill you to mind your goddamn business?" Tsukishima shrugged and Kageyama rolled his eyes in annoyance.
"Anyway, it doesn't matter whether or not they're dating, Tsukishima, that's their business, not ours."Sugawara scolded and Tsuki threw up both his hands in resignation before returning them to Yamaguchi's waist. Yamaguchi smiled sweetly at them and pulled out of Tsuki's grasp to lean over the counter.
"For what it's worth, I think you two are super cute together," he whispered and Hinata grinned while Kageyama blushed.
"Are you two dating?" Bokuto asked, breaking the new calm atomosphere with his jarring voice. Hinata and Kageyama flinched and looked at him pointedly while Akaashi patted his arm.
"Bokuto-san, that's none of our business," but gave the Captain a pointed look that seemed to speak a thousand words. Bokuto's eyes widened and he nodded understandingly, reaching over and shoving a piece of the fruit that Suga had been cutting into his mouth.
Kageyama groaned and rubbed at his eyes, "What's even the point? I can't hide it, everyone knows, what am I even doing anymore?" Hinata giggled at his boyfriend's antics.
"To be fair, I don't think Ushiwaka or that other little spiker from Shiratorizawa know. Or his boyfriend." Hinata giggled even more and patted Kageyama's shoulder.
"It's okay, Yamayama, I think it's sweet that you can't help but be all lovey-dovey." Kageyama rolled his eyes and shoved his boyfriend slightly to one side.
"You're so annoying," he grumbled.
"You love me." Hinata argued and Kageyama grinned smugly.
"I do." He confirmed, and watched a bright red blush spread across his boyfriend's cheeks.
"Ugh. Gross. That was not my goal." Tsukishima muttered and Yamaguchi elbowed him in the side.
"Shut up, Tsuki." He growled and Tsukishima's eyes shot towards the ground.
"Sorry Yams..." he grumbled and Hinata's eyes widened in delight.
"OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH!" He pointed at the couple, "Yamaguchi you can control him!" Tsuki  and Yamaguchi both glared at Hinata.
"I don't control shit, I just expect better from him." Yamaguchi said and Hinata hummed in understanding then shrugged his shoulders.
"I get it," he snickered as he looked at Kageyama from the corner of his eye.
"Shut up." Kageyama insisted again and Hinata giggled even more.
"You are so fucking cute." Kuroo pointed out and Kageyama glared at him.
"What? It's objectively true, you expect me to just lie?" He asked and Kageyama glared even harder.
"No, I expect you to keep it to yourself." He grunted and Kuroo put up his hands in mock surrender. Hinata elbowed Kageyama gently.
"Come on, I like a good compliment, and you know you're the only one for me." Hinata purred, leaning over into Kageyama's space. The setter, who had previously been glaring at Kuroo with the heat of a thousand suns, suddenly turned to look at Hinata with wide eyes. Before he could say even a word, Hinata leaned forward to kiss him on the lips.
"So, is this you guys coming out to us?" Bokuto asked, once again completely tactless. Akaashi put his face in his hands while the rest of their room either held back laughs or withered in the awkward silence.
"I guess?" Kageyama said and Bokuto nodded.
"Cool, but like, to be clear, Tsuki's right, you're not at all subtle and also we're all gay in volleyball so." Kageyama laughed and leaned forward to bury his face in his hands as well.
"That's a very good point, but also, it's kinda nice to just, have things, all to ourselves." Hinata said, moving to rub up and down Kageyama's voice.
"Having a relationship be public doesn't make it any less intimate, but it does make it more free, you won't have to stop having your little things behind closed doors, you just get to start doing things around others too, it'll be nice, I promise." Kenma said, not looking up from his psp once until the end, when he made eye contact with Shoyo then glanced down toward Kageyama, who looked at him with wide eyes.
"Did you... did you guys not saying anything? At the start?" Tobio asked and Kuroo shook his head.
"Nope, Kenma wasn't quite comfy yet so we just, kept it to ourselves, I really didn't mind all that much, but I won't pretend that I didn't want to just flaunt it all over the school I mean come on, this cutie?" Kuroo threw and arm over Kenma's shoulder that the younger leaned into.
"But no, we kept it to ourselves, and after like a month, Kenma told me that he'd rather tell everyone then keep pretending we were just friends when the second we were away from everyone our energy completely changed. So he decided to just tell the team, since they're the only ones that really mattered anyway, that was that." Kuroo explained and Kenma hummed in approval as his hand snuck down to rub up and down his arm.
"Oh yeah, you two must not see each other very often at school outside of practice huh?" Kenma shrugged and pointed at Kuroo with one thumb which he briefly pulled away from his psp.
"This guy tailored our schedules to match up as much as possible, so we have lunch together and our seperate core classes at the same time so he can walk me to every class, he's so clingy." Kuroo huffed and removed his hand from Kenma's arm to cross his arms in front of himself, at which point Kenma pinned him with an unimpressed look, that had Kuroo grinning and wrapping both arms around him instead to squeeze him in a tight hug and kiss his temple.
"No really though, I did do that, I can't go 4 hours without seeing my kitten, who do you think I am?" Hinata smiled warmly as he saw the blush spread on his bestfriend's cheeks.
"I also made sure that we would have lunch together, because I know that this guy will literally forget to eat if I don't say something most days." Kenma shrugged minutely and Kuroo let out a breathy laugh that Shoyo knew was concealing a sigh.
"But, anyway. Yeah, hiding is not fun, but the appeal of having something to yourself is elusive until you realise the repercussions." Kuroo said and Kageyama nodded thoughtfully.
"I think I just love Yama too much to pretend I don't," Hinata said, grinning widely at his beloved boyfriend.
"Hmmm..." Suga hummed in agreement, looking at Daichi who flushed from the tips of his ears to his collarbone.
"Stop that." He scolded and swatted at Suga's shoulder who chuckled and leaned over to peck him on the lips.
"Bleh! Mom and Dad are kissing!" Noya exclaimed as he busted into the room, Hinata and Kageyama immediately separating themselves. The other four couples in the room all made eye contact in silent agreement to keep their mouths shut.
"We're allowed to do that." Suga pointed out and Noya crossed his arms and shook his head.
"No you're not." He said and Suga raised an eyebrow.
"Oh really?" He asked and looked at Daichi.
"Well, then, we must be a couple of troublemakers," he grinned and pulled Daichi down by the back of the neck into a more heated kiss than anyone in the room was completely comfortable with.
"Okay, okay, break it up you two, the bacon's gonna burn." Kuroo said, shoving the captain and vice captain apart so he could reach the stove.
"Ah! Sorry!" Suga exclaimed and immediately flipped the slightly crispier than desired bacon onto a plate next to the stove.
"It's fine, I'd do the same thing if my juniors ever made a comment. They don't, honestly I think they're just relieved that we started dating." Suga giggled behind one hand as he dropped three more pieces of bacon into the crackling oil.
"Yeah, we've been dating basically the whole time that they've known us so..." Noya huffed.
"So we're used to it, and it's GROSS." He grumbled.
Kuroo laughed and opened the fridge, pulling out a carton of eggs and setting a pan on the burner next to Suga's pan of bacon, starting a couple of fried eggs. "I think the fact that you react so drastically is what encourages them." He winked at Suga who winked back.
"Don't wink at each other. That's my wink." Kenma grunted and Kuroo laughed even harder before shooting his boyfriend a smile that he hoped conveyed his apology. Suga nodded in understanding and also sent Kenma an apologetic smile that he waved off.
"You can't own a wink." Kageyama muttered, confused.
"You also can't own a pair of thighs and yet, here we are." Oikawa said, far too exuberant for the morning, he waltzed into the kitchen in an even shorter skirt than the day before with a hoodie that reached just past his hips. Iwaizumi's name was printed across the back and Kageyama knew it must have been Hajime's from their first year at Aoba Johsai. But he was too busy blushing at Oikawa's comment about his possessive behavior the night before to think too hard about it.
"Oi," Iwaizumi shoved the back of Oikawa's head, "Watch your mouth." Oikawa glanced around at the room, taking in the faces of the Fukurodani and Nekoma Captains and their boyfriends.
"Ah! Um... Iwa... said that?" He tried and Kageyama groaned loudly, throwing his head back in annoyance.
"They already know Iwaizumi Senpai, Oikawa, but thank you anyway." He said and Oikawa grinned.
"Perfect, then I can call you out on this. Kageyama totally said that yesterday, after we came down in our skirts, I heard him say it to Hinata." Kageyama's face lit up an even brighter red under the scrutiny of his two captains and every other person in the room as well. Shoyo smiled slyly, bumping their shoulders.
"Oh, don't tell me you're embarrassed now, after what you said yesterday? Really, I can't believe you leaning over to whisper in my ear all husky,"
He teased, and Kageyama shot him an intense glare.
"Kageyama! Did you really!?" Suga asked and Kageyama cringed at the question.
"Ugh. Yes. Shut up..." He grumbled and Suga blushed as well.
"Listen, I don't... I don't care what you guys do in your free time but I don't want to hear about anything less than pure from any of you." Sugawara pointed at every one of his underclassmen in the room.
"Not one impure thing." He stressed, face turning severe, and they all nodded, faces twisting in fear.
"Okay but, real quick, Kagehina is official?" Noya asked, pointing with his thumb at the first years.
"Ah!" Kageyama and Hinata both looked over at him.
"Yes?" Kuroo said, looking at the two Karasuno second years.
"I totally forgot you two came in!" Kageyama exclaimed, looking at Noya and Tanaka.
"You mean everyone here knew, except for us!?" Tanaka yelled and Kageyama flinched.
"Well, not everyone, technically the only people we've TOLD are the people in this room." Hinata said simply and Noya glanced around momentarily.
"You told all these other people? From other teams? Before you told us?" He cried and Hinata and Kageyama at least had the courtesy to look guilty.
"It wasn't meant to be a slight to you specifically." Kageyama explained, then turned to look at his Senpais.
"Plus, the two of you still need to get your shit together, I can't keep ignoring you're insufferable romantic and sexual tension with Asahi and Ennoshita." Kageyama pointed out and Noya and Tanaka's faces lit up in bright blushes.
"I- shut up, Kageyama." Noya grunted and Tobio couldn't help but laugh at his Senpai.
"Well, what's the plan for today?" Daichi asked, beginning to set platters out on the counter.
