At first, everyone was confused. But once they had explained it was to end the war, they were ecstatic.

"I call being a bridesmaid!" Piper and Hazel yelled at once!

Will raised his hand. "Me too!"

Nico promptly elbowed him in the ribs.

Sally smiled. "I knew you would figure out what I meant."

Annabeth smiled right back at her, but then it faded. "Now all we have to do is tell my mother. And we should probably do it in person."

Leo waltzed up with his arm around Calypso's shoulder. "Well, she can't resist my charm."

Percy laughed. "Well, it's a good thing then that the one getting married."

Leo deflated, and mumbled, "Not yet anyway." Which Calypso flushed bright pink at.

"We should definitely take Poseidon's Treasure," Jason said. "And her crew. As long with everyone else who should probably come."

Annabeth looked at the Queen and King, wondering what they were planning to do. "Who's coming with us out of the two of you?"

"Can't they both come?" Percy asked.

Annabeth shook her head. "No. Someone has to stay behind to run the kingdom. And also just in case my mother decides that she doesn't want this to happen, which most likely won't be a problem."

"I'll go with you." Sally said. At King Paul's protests, Sally laid a hand on her husband's forearm. "You have to stay here to make sure everything goes well. And out of the two of us, I'm the one who will seem less threatening."

Paul sighed. "Fine. Just be safe."

Sally nodded, and preparations started.

They left the capitol of Trishula in the next 24 hours. Annabeth wasn't sure what to think. She didn't want to go home, and yet she did want to see her kingdom again. She just hoped her mother didn't decide to be in one of her moods.

Annabeth felt Percy sidle up to her.

"Whatcha thinkin' about?" The pirate captain asked her.

Annabeth sighed. "Everything."

Percy raised an eyebrow. "Specifically?"

Annabeth suddenly turned around and grabbed his hands. She looked into his perfect sea green eyes and said, "I don't want to ruin your life, Percy."

Percy looked taken aback, as if this could never happen. "Annabeth, you're being crazy."

"Am I? Percy, once my mother finds out that we're together, she'll want to keep me home so I can prepare to rule her kingdom, and I know you. You'll want to stay with me, and you'll be miserable! And then what? Eventually we will get married, and then you'll have to give up your pirate career!"

"Annabeth," Percy said to her quietly. "I don't care what happens to me. I just want to spend the rest of my life with you, no matter the cost." And then he leaned down and kissed her.

Annabeth was still surprised every time he kissed her, she couldn't believe that he was hers.

Percy pulled away, but not completely, so that when he talked, his lips would brush hers. "And even if I'm never a pirate again, it'll have been worth it to meet you."

Annabeth said nothing, just smiled and kissed him again.

They made it to Athens slower than they should have. Percy said it was bad wind and currents, and Annabeth could tell that he was stressed. He did want to make a good impression, after all.
