When they were back on board Poseidon's Treasure, the whole crew started swarming Annabeth and Percy.
Percy just held up his hands to the overlapping voices and they died down slowly. "Take it one at a time, guys."
Annabeth nudged him. "Or we could gather everyone around and tell them what happened. Once we explain everything, then they can ask their questions. It'll probably be easier."
Percy nodded and Annabeth continued. "And you can tell us what options we have and what we can do about it."
If Percy realized that she was hinting at Frank and his earlier conversation, he didn't show it. The captain just continued nodding. "You're right, it'll be easier to do that. Everyone go to the meeting room.
Annabeth didn't know they had a meeting room until she realized the direction they were heading and assumed it was the room where Leo and Nico were arguing when she first came aboard the ship. Nothing had changed since then, except maybe one or two more scuff marks on the table that hadn't been there before.
"All right," Percy began once everyone was seated, "This is our situation. Luke Castellan is heading to The Cavern of the Lost Souls where a scroll is."
Everyone was silent. The only sounds that could be heard were Percy's voice and the waves against the ship's hull.
Percy continued, "The scroll contains information to destroy an entire kingdom. Luke is planning on selling to scroll to the highest bidder, and this is bad for the obvious reason. If a kingdom gets this information, there will be no chance for peace between the Athens and Trishula. One of the kingdoms will be completely destroyed, and millions of people will die. We can't let this happen."
Frank raised his hand. "Are we the only ones that know about this?"
Percy shook his head. "No. Captain Magnus of the ship Myths knows about it, and he's leading his crew into an ambush. Luke knows that they're coming, and he's planning on killing them all and continuing with his plan. We need to get there as quickly as possible, help Magnus, stop Luke, and get the scroll."
Frank looked at Percy, and it didn't go unnoticed by the crew.
Leo spoke. "What? Why are you looking at Percy like that?"
"Because he's not telling you everything." Frank responded.
Everyone looked at Percy expectantly. The captain in turn sighed.
"Fine." He mumbled. "We had a tip that Luke might be heading in that area before, but I didn't want to investigate it because it would've meant travelling into Trishula territory."
Piper looked at Percy. "That has never stopped us before," she protested.
"Yes, that's true," Percy said, "But before we didn't have the princess of Athens with us to worry about. We would have to go through a blockade of Trishula ship, and they probably would search our ship before letting us pass."
Annabeth looked at Percy. "What's the second option?"
Percy looked at the table. "We would have to go through the uncharted waters, and it would take us longer too."
Everyone was silent, they all knew what the obvious choice was, but they didn't want to offend Annabeth.
Annabeth herself had no problem speaking though. "Well, the situation is obvious. We can't risk going the long way."
Percy shook his head. "Annabeth, we can't risk losing you."
"Percy, I appreciate it, but you've barely known me a week. Less than that, actually."
