Chapter 119: The Meeting

Melo has something to say: I know you're all sad about Xu Le's predicament. To be honest, I thought of introducing a biological kid at some point after a time skip. (This was before my phone was snatched)  But I realized that will be cliché and so trope-y.  FL meeting ML after X amount of years and ML discovers he has a kid with FL which will be the reason why they will get back together. And I hated the thought that it will just be another regular sh*t I read. 

So I stopped myself and decided to be more realistic and raw.  After all those hardships Xu Le faced, it's impossible to not have a miscarriage. We'll see more of her in the future chaps.

Feng Yanyan woke with a start, clutching his chest.

As he blinked, he realized there were tears in his eyes but he couldn't remember his dream.

He sighed.

"Are you crying?"

"Brother! Don't just randomly enter rooms!" The fifth young master yelled at the sudden intruder.

Feng Yanggu's boisterous laughter was heard early in the morning in Yanyan's quarters.

"Tsk, don't you have a family to raise?" He was just short of shooing the older man away.

"Your temper's through the roof today. Did you have a bad dream?"

Yanyan just shook his head. He couldn't even remember.

"The Yao bastard will visit. Grandfather wants you there... but not within that man's sight." Eldest young master turned serious all of a sudden which made him jolt in his seat.

Yao bastard?

There was none other than...

Wasn't it too fast?

He only got to know the identity of his real father not too long ago. How could there be a meet and greet so soon?

In the dramas he used to watch, the meeting would be delayed until the audience were dying.

Feng Yanyan shook his head again. This time, to clear unnecessary thoughts.

"When?"

"This evening. You'll go with me, just to make sure."

He nodded at his older brother, thinking that it would be a relief to have someone with him. What he didn't know was that Yanggu wouldn't be there just for emotional support. The reason why the eldest master was assigned to be with him this time was to be his protector.

Obviously, second miss Feng failed at that task terribly during their last trip outside the residence. So this time, Yanggu personally made sure that the task would fall on him.

Feng Yanyan didn't ask the why's and how's. It was obvious that the 'Yao bastard' his family didn't like was approaching now because of him.

He admitted that after his emotional turbulence, he had accepted how dramatic his life was. But he was also curious why his biological father was approaching him only now.

"Yanyan, in the case that the guy is a smooth talker, don't fall for his tricks."

Fifth young master couldn't help but roll his eyes. "What do you think of me, brother? Five years old?"

Was he like a kid who could be deceived so easily?

Yanggu's silence was a quiet affirmation. Feng Yanyan tried to kick him in response but how could he openly kick a martial arts geek?
