Feng Yanyan felt his existence disappear in Guyan's eyes as she charged toward the perceived 'evildoers.'
What he didn't know was the Feng clan's forces in the shadows moved closer forming a net around him to protect from all sides.
Second Miss Feng alone fought with three drunk men in the alley. She cruelly swiped at their manhoods making them kneel from excruciating pain.
Even Feng Yanyan winced as he watched his cousin in action.
He admitted that this elder sister of his was always stronger when she was a little bit tipsy.
The trio didn't stand a chance and the fact that all of them looked like they didn't really know how to fight a martial artist also helped. They had no technique or finesse so Guyan easily overpowered them.
"Haaah!"
The last person fell down and there were still no authorities to intervene.
"No yamen?" Feng Yanyan voiced out.
He saw his cousin spit before scoffing. "Typical of the capital."
"Thank you, Lady."
Both of them looked at the hooligans' victim at the same time.
It was a tall middle aged man holding a crutch.
Feng Guyan was thunderstruck.
"Are you hurt, da ren?" Feng Yanyan dropped his plan to ignore the helpless man because his cousin already made the first move. Also, because the man was pleasing to the eye.
"No-"
But before the man could even speak, Second Miss Feng held his wrist and started dragging him away.
"We need to go home."
Feng Guyan walked so fast that Yanyan could only look back at the figure they left behind.
He made a quick judgment that the man was a true beauty during his prime. His face had soft features and his unbound hair that was turning gray was as smooth as silk.
What a pity that there seemed to be something wrong with his leg.
There was a sense of deja vu as he stared at the person they saved but he felt Guyan tugging him as she shook his whole body.
"What's your problem?!" He glared at the older woman.
He didn't even complain when she started to pick a fight but now, she was just short of carrying him like a sack of flour.
She suddenly turned serious. "My motherly instincts told me my children need me so we need to go home quickly."
Feng Yanyan went silent, digesting her words. When it sank in, his jaw dropped. "Your what?!"
Feng Guyan wasn't the type to have any fluffy motherly instincts at all!
She rode as fast as the wind, even seeming to forget that he brought his own horse. He was puffing with anger by the time they got home.
"Eldest Brother!"
Feng Yanggu was waiting for them in the stables so Yanyan wanted to tattletale. But when he saw the older man's face, he was taken aback.
"Go back to your courtyard for now." Second sister told him with the same grave expression.
What was happening?
Looking at his older brother, the man managed to smile to reassure him. "It's alright. I'll get you when it's time for dinner."
Feng Yanyan wanted to understand what got to them but he was scared to ask. So he ended up walking away in contemplation. They were treating him like a teenager.
