Beep beep beep beep beep-
Why did hell did I set an alarm again???
I hit the alarm and sat up in my bed. A yawn escaped my mouth as I rubbed my eyes. Mornings alone suck. I usually had my mom come in and greet me and cook breakfast with me or something. Now I wish she didn't exist.
All of last nights memories came flooding into my head but I shook them out so I wouldn't spend the rest of the day depressed.
I do still love my mom, but the embarrassment she put me through was disgusting. I am happy I moved on in life because if I didn't, I would've been a mommas-girl until I became a mom.
I kicked my feet off my bed and walked into my kitchen where the cold floor made me shake.
The blinds were closed so I opened them up and light shinned. As I was opening them I saw Marcus outside getting his mail. I saw him with two letters in his hand. When he saw one, he frowned, probably a bill. When he saw the other he stuck out his tongue and crumpled it up. I laughed out loud.
I was starving at the time so I walked over to my pantry to find a box of crackers and some pasta.
After achieving nothing, I walked over to my fridge and saw I had an iced tea and some peaches. I grabbed a peach and bit into it tasting the sweetness.
As I chewed it I realized, I'm on my own. I need to find myself a job and buy my OWN groceries. Nobody was going to buy them for me.
I cringed at the thought of working. Waking up every morning. Ew.
I finished my peach and threw the middle part away. I walked to my room which only had my bed and small dresser because I couldn't take any more furniture, my moms orders.
I put on skinny jeans, a Pink t-shirt and black converse. Then I put my hair into a messy bun and applied some mascara.
I went and sat on my couch and decided to think of a good starter career. Dog walking? No. Lawn work? Heck no. Babysitting? Maybe... It seemed simple enough.
I could watch kids at my house and make easy money. I mean the entertaining the child part could be tough, but it would be a good practice for when I have kids.
I decided on trying it out and went to my room and made some flyers.
About an hour later I finished. I took a good glance at it.

I was satisfied with my poster.I got up and rummaged through my drawers until I found the tape. Then I took it to a lamppost at the end of our street and taped it up there. I looked at it for a few minutes and was really iffy on if I should do it.
I remembered all the good things about it so I went with my heart and kept it up.
"Whatcha got there?" Said a familiar voice. I looked around the pole and saw Marcus, as handsome as can be walking over. I straightened myself and I felt my hands trembling. Should I be happy or scared. Should I act like nothing happened last night? Will that help?
"Oh nothing much. Just trying to make money." I said with a small laugh as he read my sign. I looked to the ground.
"Ah, a babysitting service. How neat." He said.
"Yeah. I'm really afraid though. What if I can't control the kid, or if I do something wrong?" I started panicking.
"I think you'll be fine," Marcus said reassuring me. "I can help you if you want. The only job I have is being a landscaper but I only do that on Mondays and Thursday's." He explained.
"Really you would do that?" I asked not trying to sound greedy but really in my head I was begging him to do it because I would want to see him as a father figure.
"Of course, I would do anything for you." he said seriously.
I smiled quickly and started walking back to my house. Marcus jogged up to me and started walking next to me.
"So we still need to have that second date right?" He asked.
"Yeah" I said quiet but still loud enough for him to hear it. I was stressing out at the thought of it because I did not want anything like last night to repeat.
"Don't be afraid. I had a few drinks last night to be honest" he said getting red and scratching the back of his neck.
"Oh ok" I simply said. Since when did he drink? Did he drink before he picked me up? He didn't have drinks when we got there. Anyways, he really thought a few drinks made a difference? Not really Marcus.
"Tonight?" He asked. "Is tonight ok for the date?"
"I suppose" I answered with a smile. "See you at 7:00"
"Ok" he said as he started walking on his yard since we finally reached out homes. "And Lola?" He added and I turned around as I was about to walk into my house.
"Yeah?" I answered.
"Don't wear a dress, wear something...casual." He said and walked into his house.
That made me extremely curious and excited for tonight's plans.
A week ago I would have never even imagined all of this happening.
