I woke to the sound of knocking, which actually has been happening a lot more often. That's not a good thing though. I stand up from my spot on the couch and stretch out my arms. I slouch and stomp to the door, hoping it wasn't anyone important because I had my pink pajamas on and my hair was a wreck. I looked through the peephole and saw Marcus.

I unlocked the door and Marcus smiled and engulfed me into a hug. I wore a fake smile, because I was in the middle of a good dream when he knocked.

"Hi love, I just remembered a while ago that I left a box here that had some random stuff in it. Mind if I go grab it?" He asked. I nodded slowly because why would he come a three hour drive just for a box. He walked to the bedroom and I followed. Marcus rummaged through the closet and I watched with my hands on my hips.

"What is in the box that makes it so important to come all the way here?" I knelt down next to him. He quickly turned his head and smiled at me, before continuing his search.

"Well, this box, has a surprise in it for you." Marcus pulled out a medium cardboard box and I tried to peek in it, but it was closed.

"Really?!" I wondered what it could be and why it was so important. We both stood and left the bedroom. As we walked back my stomach flipped and my eyes nearly popped out of my head. I stopped in my tracks as Marcus did the same.

Joey was still on the couch. He slept over?! Marcus is going to be pissed, oh my god! I didn't even know Marcus would here!

"What the fuck..." Marcus whispered super quietly as he placed the box down. He turned to me as my expression was probably filled with fear and worry.

"Marcus, listen, before you start to freak, he is just a friend. He came here last night because his car broke down. I didn't even realize he slept over. I swear it's nothing." I explained looking into his furious eyes. Even though he was probably exploding with anger inside, he remained calm with a small hurt expression. Before he would start to get more upset I walked over to Joey and shook him awake.

I honestly am hating that I have to put Joey in this position right now. He is gonna be horrified of Marcus and is going to regret ever coming here again.

Joey flicked open his eyes and smiled. I frowned slightly at him and nodded my head towards Marcus. He sat up and swallowed hard. He got red in the face and stood up. I backed away and smiled with fear at him.

"Hello, you must be, um, Marcus. Lola talked so much about you." Joey quickly stated. He gathered up all of his things and as he walked out he said, "I will call a tow truck Lola, but thanks for letting me stay." He waved and left, all while Marcus stood with his arms crossed. After Joey shut the door I prepared for the upcoming talk I was about to throw down with Marcus.

"We need to talk." Marcus sternly spoke. I nodded and I walked over to him. I tried to apologize but Marcus interrupted me.

"I don't understand why you go out with boys all the time, and I try my hardest to avoid any girl that walks past." I looked down at his words and my thumbs jungled around.

"I don't go out with boys all the time!" I protested because I realized it wasn't true. I went out with Trevor once. And then this. That's it.

"You ditched me for this Trevor guy, and now this? Were you planning on telling me about this at all?" He raised his voice and my stomach was doing summersaults.

"Why should I have to tell you?" I asked.

"Because I'm your boyfriend! And I would want to know if some guy stayed at your house!" Marcus looked me in the eye but I couldn't hold it.

"I'm sorry, ok! I didn't think you were going to get this upset about it!" I tried to raise my voice but I couldn't. I didn't have the power today.

"Why in Hell's name, would you think I wouldn't care if you had some random guy who I don't know, stay here over night? You could've had sex or something!" I looked down and shrugged slightly. I looked so weak right now and I wasn't taking it. He isn't in control of me. I looked up and let my brain do the speaking.

"You don't even trust me! Marcus we haven't even been dating for that long but you know what? I love you! You are my one and only and you think I will walk out on you and go with some other guy, but I won't!" I felt my eyes sting slightly meaning tears were making their way to my cheeks. I held them back like they were raging bulls, ready to charge out.

"Don't do that then. Don't go on dates with other boys. Don't go to some boy's house. Don't have a guy come here, just..." He sighed. "Only be mine." Marcus closed his eyes. I grabbed him and pulled him closed to me.

"I'm sorry Marcus. You are right. I shouldn't have done all of that." I said not letting a single drop of water out of my eyes. I was actually proud of myself for not crying as crazy as it sound.

I felt Marcus kiss the top of my head and I smiled. I'm glad that the argument is over and that I handled it well. Meanwhile, I have to head to my mom's house today.

"Marcus I am going to see my mom today. She said she had something for me. I will see you around ok?" I explained.

"How are you getting there? You don't have a car, may I remind you." Marcus said with a smirk. I rolled my eyes and shrugged. He planted a huge smile on his face and I knew what he was thinking.

"I'll take you!" I laughed and said okay. Marcus was so nice. I am honestly so lucky to have him.

On the way to Tara's, Lola's mom, house.

"Don't believe me just watch! Ow! Dananana dananana!" Me and Marcus sang. This basically described the whole car ride. Us singing off tune and laughing like freaks.

"Here, this is the turn." I instructed Marcus as we pulled down the street that filled my head with memories. I searched the area for my house and lead Marcus to it.

"Should I come in?" He asked, obviously still on bad terms with my mom. I thought about it for second, but realized that my mom and boyfriend should and need to build a stronger connection. We parked the car and hopped out. Then we walked up the steps to the front door. I remember all the good and awful times here. Even if it had been like a month since I moved out, I was missing this place. I knocked and waited for an answer while holding my hand in Marcus'. The door was opened by my mom and she smiled, until it was dimmed by Marcus. She didn't want to be rude so she greeted me and him and we went inside.

"Lola, Marcus, great to see you both!" She hugged and kissed me and then gave Marcus an unwelcoming hug.

"Good to see you to Mrs. Dugging." He responded and we all sat down.

"So mom, you had a surprise for me?" I asked eager to know what it could be. She nodded and smiled. Then she left the room and went into the kitchen, which was a door frame that I couldn't see into. I had no clue what was in there that was in store for me.

"Calm down Lola, you and tapping your feet like crazy." Marcus quietly said giggling. I looked down at my feet as they stayed still. I haven't even noticed. I shrugged and heard my mom walking back. I sat up straight and bit my lip.

"Ready?" My mom asked standing at the doorframe. I nodded fastly and took in a deep breath. The next thing I saw brought tears to my eyes.
