62. Endgame

Taylor's POV

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Selena asks

"No but it has to be done and you guys know so if something goes wrong you can tell Y/n but I chose somewhere public on purpose." I say

I had texted Joe and told him that I wanted to meet with him. He was obviously eager to speak to me but I told him we would meet on my terms. I knew today was a good day because Y/n would be at the studio so it was the best chance I had to end this. I was getting ready to go but was starting to feel very anxious about the whole situation. I didn't like to keep secrets from Y/n but I don't want her to be dealing with this.

"You know Y/n is not gonna be happy that you went alone, why don't you let one of us go with you ?" Gigi says

"Yeah it'll make me feel better too." Blake says

"I need to do this myself I promise it'll be okay." I say hoping to ease their nerves.

Suddenly a knock on the door interrupted our thoughts.

"That's weird Y/n shouldn't be back yet and if she was why would she be knocking." I say out loud.

I walk to the door opening it thinking nothing if it and am shocked to see Joe at the door.

Y/N's POV
I was heading home because what needed to be done at the studio was a quick fix. I was so excited to go home and spend time with Taylor. Lately I've been feeling really ready to just propose to her but I knew I wanted to make it special but she made it so hard to wait she is just too adorable.

When I arrived at Taylors house I saw a car that I wasn't familiar with. I frowned momentarily wondering who it is I shake off my suspicions and walk in opening the door with my keys I hear voices talking so I enter quietly unsure what I was walking into. The closer I got the more familiar the voices were, Taylor and ......Joe why was he here. I stay around the corner listening to their conversation.

"Joe what are you trying to say" Taylor asks

"Taylor I love you and you know how special our relationship was I know you do, and I think we never should've ended things. When I asked you to marry me it was scary and instead of letting you run away I should've ran after you and stopped you from hiding. I know things were getting to serious for you but don't be scared." Joe says

"Joe that's not why I wanted to talk." She says

What she wanted to talk to him. I frown getting angry wondering why she never told me, she also never mentioned he asked for her to marry him. I know it shouldn't bother me since we are together now but why did she let him in? What was she thinking.

"So Taylor I ask you again will you Marry me? Give our love a chance." Joe says

I nervously stand around the corner wondering if I should say something or run away.

"Joe ......... I- I don't know what to say, but I don't think you understand" Taylor says

"Taylor I do understand but trust me" Joe says

I was trying to give Taylor a chance to just say no but then I accidently tripped over one of the cats toys when I tried to peak around the corner and I ended up being seen and before I can run I see Joe was kneeled on the floor with Taylor standing in front of him with a shocked look but when he sees me his demeanor changes completely he stands up frowning and I stand scared of what was to come but hurt as to why she wasn't rejecting him immediately. Seeing his face Taylor turns and sees me and looks at me with wide eyes like she had just been caught doing something wrong.

"Y/N" Taylor says but quickly gets interrupted.

"Is this because of her?" Joe asks

Before Taylor gets to answer he is walking over to me and pushes my shoulders. I look at him like he is crazy and peak at Taylor who looks concerned.
