21. Paper Rings

Time skip.....

March 2007

Y/N's POV

Taylor and I were at Dans house helping him paint his room. I look over at Taylor and see she is covered in paint and I laugh lightly. Soph walks in handing us all drink as we have been working most of the day and we are all tired. Well except Soph who somehow escaped this responsibility of helping. 

"Now tell me again why Soph didn't have to paint" I say

"Because I didn't want to I can't stand manual labor" Soph says dramatically 

I stare at her unimpressed.

"I didn't want to do this alone" Dan says and continues "so thanks for helping me " 

I smile at him knowing I'd do anything for him we had gotten so close these past few months he was like a brother to me especially as he was dating Soph now it bought us all a lot closer together. 

"I'm happy to help you" I say

I then walk over to Taylor and say "Thank you for helping me" 

She turns to me with a grin and says "I am only doing this because of you"

I lean in to kiss her and she smiles into it. 

We then continue painting as we are almost done. Once we finished we all sat by Dans pool relaxing.

"Thanks again you two my parents said if I wanted my room painted I had to do it myself so I'm so grateful for the help" Dan says

"Anytime Dan really" I say and continue "You're like a brother to me and I know you'd be there for me" 

"In a heartbeat" he says with a hand on his chest 

"I've always wanted a sibling" Dan says

"Me too" I say smiling at him 

"Any brother of Y/N's is a brother of mine" Taylor says smiling making me laugh and pull her into a hug.

"You're the best girlfriend I swear" I say

"Hey!" Soph says faking offended

We settle down again and as we do I look at the pool saying "Hey can I go for a swim Dan"

"Sure" He says

He gets up and says "want me to grab you some trunks"

Before he gets the chance to continue I grab him and jump into the pool. We come up for air and laugh as I say "Come on Taylor, Soph join us"

I wasn't sure if they actually would but surprising me Taylor jumps inside splashing us making me laugh smiling wide and then Soph ends up jumping in we all swim around laughing and messing with one another. 

I then make my way to Taylor wrapping my hands around her and kissing her. She smiles at me when we pull back and I say "You truly never stop surprising me"

She leans in kissing me again and wraps her arms around me and we stay like that for a few moments just enjoying being in eachothers grasps. 

Later in the day after getting out of the pool we all dry off borrowing Dans clothes and we all laugh at our outifts as he washes the ones we had on so they can be clean for us before going. 

We all sit in Dans living room watching a movie Dan and Soph next to eachother and Taylor and I next to eachother. I have my arm wrapped around her and she leans into me. I notice Dan and Soph drifted off to sleep so I get up to check on the clothes moving them to the dryer and as I do Taylor comes in and sits on the dryer as I continue moving the clothes.
