Chapter 9 - Ao'nung

Ao'nung saw the boy standing there. He felt a little bad. He was new and didn't know anyone. And he had been talking to him yesterday. Why couldn't he talk to him now. Well that was until one of his mates Jaymee called out to him.
"Hey new kid! What's your name?" Ao'nung just kind of looked over in Neteyams direction. He noticed the boys hands were shaking and that he looked scared. Fuck. Jaymee looked annoyed and turned back to us.

"Whats his fucking problem?"
"Dude give him a break he's new he isn't even from this country."

(Fuck it imma change the way I write completely and use 'I' instead of 'he' and shit like that because it sound better to me😭)

Jaymee just gave me a look and rolled his eyes. That kid was really getting on my nerves these days. But the bell finally rang and I went of to Neteyam and took out his timetable looking at it.
"You have music next? You play a instrument?" I looked at him. Actually I could see it.
"Yeah I play the drums." Of course he did.
"Oh nice Jaymee also has that class with you so that nice. I'll show you the way your royal highness." I was hoping to god that Jaymee wasn't going to be an ass.

"Uh who is he?" Fuck that right Neteyam didn't know anyone's names.
"He the one that was asking you your name. He plays gutair I'm pretty sure."
"Oh right.." Neteyam looked nervous again. Eywa this kid needed to stop stressing so much.
"Hey Rotxo might also have that class too hold up lemme text him" I pulled my phone out stopping in my tracks and text Rotxo.

[Me] Hey bro what class you got next?
[Rot😶‍🌫️] I got music next why?
[Me] Neteyam has that aswell take care of him alright he seems nervous.
[Rot😶‍🌫️] are you.. are you caring about someone Ao? Cuz if so that's amazing never thought this day would come!

[Rot😶‍🌫️] OI!

I chuckled and turned off my phone beginning walking again.
"Don't worry bro Rotxo is in your class you'll be good."
"Thank eywa" WE got to the class and I showed him in. No one stared at him. Thank eywa. I don't think he could go through that again. Good thing it's interval next.

I went off to my next class. I had biology. It was so boring but I needed it to become a marine biologist. It had always been a dream of mine to do that. I had no idea why but it just was. I walked into class to find it almost empty. It always was though. Not many people took biology. Although there was a new face in the small group.

I noticed Kiri sitting there looking at her phone. I should have know to be completely honest. She happened to be sitting next to me anyways so I just sat in my usual seat.
"Oh hey! I didn't think you would take this class." I smiled at her.
"Oh yeah this class is so fun and exciting." I had a very obvious sarcastic tone and she frowned at me.
"Well I rather enjoy this subject."
"Oh shit really?" WAIT someone actually enjoyed this class?

She just nodded and the teacher walked in. Mrs. Duvenage she was a really nice teacher. She was also African so maybe her and Kiri would get along well. Wait was Kiri even African? She doesn't sound or look like it in the slightest.

"Oh hallo everyone! I will start with the roll and we can begin class." Mrs started the roll and went she got up to kiris name she stopped.
"Oh I didn't realize we had a new student. Welcome Kiri!" Kiri mumbled something in a language that I couldn't understand.

Mrs Duvenage on the other hand looked at Kiri with a smile on her face but she just continued doing the roll. That was strange. I didn't think anything of it. I was just wondering what Kiri had said.

Around halfway through the class the year 11 dean walked in and said something to Mrs in Afrikaans. I didn't have a clue what they were saying but Kiri seemed to. Of course she did. Duh Ao'nung you dumbass.

That class lasted to long for me taste. It got boring but Mrs let us play blooket at the end and obviously I won. I even got a orange for it. Mrs knows me too well. But I was walking to the quad with Kiri when she spotted Rotxo and Neteyam. Neteyam looked worried and Rotxo seemed pissed.

"What's got you all so pissed?" I was questioning Rotxo while Kiri was talking to her brother.
"Jaymee was being a cunt to Neteyam so I may have punched him"
"Oh shit nice one dude!" I chuckled and looked around spitting Kai and Tuk with Reya and Lo'ak. Lo'ak was way to close to her for my liking and I was about to say something when I heard a shout.

"OI AO'NUNG!" Fuck that was a voice I knew all to well.
"What do you want Jaymee?" I turned to him rolling my eyes.
"Tell your piece of shit friend here to stay the fuck away from me. Got it!"
"No actually I don't got it. My piece of shit friend here told ne you were being an ass to Neteyam."
"Ok why do you ca-" before Jaymee could finish that sentence he was sent stumbling to the side. What the fuck. Did I do that? No my hands were in my pockets. Was it Rotxo? I turned to him.

He was looking just as confused as me. I turned the other way and found Neteyam with a fists balled up and a look on his face I could not place. It wasn't anger. Or fear. Or any of that. It was just. His face. It was strange. Very strange. But Jaymee was now on the ground.
"WHAT THE FUCK?!" Great now he was yelling. I wish he would just shut up for once.

Kids had started appearing at the commotion and some were even chanting the words fight. I glared at them and they shut up pretty quick. Kiri was staring at Neteyam with a shocked expression on her face and Lo'ak was running up to Neteyam and checking on him.
"Bro what the fuck?" Neteyam snapped out of whatever transe he was in and looked around.

"What happened?"
"YOU FUCKING PUNCHED ME YOU PIECE OF SHIT!" Holy shit dude shit up.
"Jaymee shut up I swear." But instead he jumped up and went for Neteyam. Luckily Ao'nung reacted in time and tackled him to the ground.
