Chapter 11 - Rotxo

We were all waiting for Tuk to get out of the office. Her family all seemed worriwd about her. I wondered why? I mean did something happen to her before they moved? Or has she always been like this? I shouldn't guess. Nope I wasn't going to. But.. no Rotxo no. Buuuut. No. No. No.

Tuk came out of the office about five minutes later. She seemed happy. I could tell her siblings were happy about that. We all left the office area and noticed that we had missed fourth period so we all went to the field for lunch.

Everyone say down in a circle and I noticed Ao'nung looking around. Probably for some reason to leave. It didn't seem he found one though because he stayed. The grass was warm. It was just a warm day. Not too hot not too cold. I'm glad we aren't in primary school. Stupid no hat no play. That is such a stupid rule.

There was an awkward silence when everyone was just eating their food. But the Lo'ak started eating.. with his mouth full of food. Disgusting. I looked over at Kai and he looked absolutely revolted. Kai had always had a problem with people doing that. I mean everyone does but Kai.. he was just different. I had done it once accidentally and he almost threw up.

I saw Neteyam give his brother a smack on the shoulder.
"Idioot maak jou mond toe!"
What the hell did that mean?
(IT means "Idiot close your mouth!" Also I do use Google translate so my apologies if some of this is wrong!)
"Yeah Lo'ak close your damn mouth. It's disgusting."
Kiri spoke up after her brother and I guess that Neteyam had told Lo'ak the same thing.

"I don't know what you guys are talking about! My mouth is closed! I was talking!"
"Yeah with you mouth FULL of food." There goes Ao.
"Oh come on. Whatever man."
Lo'ak continued to eat his food. And I mean fair enough. I had grabbed mine at that point.

A. "So uh this is well fun?"
N. "HA yeah so much fun. Punching a boy on the first day of school. Great job on having fun Neteyam."
R. "Oh come on bro it's not that bad especially after what he said to you in music."
L. "Wait what did he say to you in music?"
N. "Oh it was no-"
R. "Well Jaymee is white you know. And he started calling Neteyam a whole bunch of racial slurs."
A. "HE DID WHAT??"
Ts. "Whoa you mean Jaymee did that?! Jaymee Jaymee. Jaymee Cummings? The dude who has been friend with you and Ao for Eywa knows?"
R. "Yes I mean Jaymee. Guess who ain't my friend no more."
A. "Nor mine the fucking cunt"

Kiri had been eating while listening to the conversation. She had this angry look on her face. Like she was ready to kill. Tuk was sitting there mouth wide open and eyes darting around almost keeping a look out for this boy. Kai was still too disgusted by Lo'ak to even care about what was being said.

L. "If I go to jail, you all know why."
N. "Lo'ak it's not that deep."
Neteyam laughed at his brother. He laughed? How was he doing that? How was he so calm after he punched Jaymee? What was this boy made of? 
L. "Man wat ook al"
("Man whatever" also if any of these translations are wrong I am so sorry, I am using google translate)
I looked at Ao'nung when Lo'ak said that.
R. "He aha tana korero?"
A. "Kaore he whakaaro."  Rotxo noticed Kiri staring at them.
R. "What?" The girl just smiled at him and looked away. Damn when was she so.. Never mind. 

The bell rung and it was time for last period. I think I had English, but I decided to check with Tsireya first. She was in my class for this period and she always knew what she had.
R. "Hey Reya! What do we got?"
Ts. "Uh we have English. You know shouldn't you have memorized this by now?"
R. "Nah I got you guys don't I." I smirked at her and she just roller her eyes at me. Very rude.

It had been about 30 minutes into class time and it was honestly very boring. Mrs Harp was talking about some book called 'Animal Farm' and that we would have to read it or something. No thanks. But Reya was taking notes like the good student she was and I knew that she would let me copy off her sooner or later.

Finally class ended and I grabbed my things putting my chair up on the desk and waited for Reya to pack up her things. Ao and Kai would meet us at the front gate and I had no idea what the Sully family were doing. I wanted to see if we could hang out today after school so while I was waiting I text the group chat.

[Me] Hey so what's everyone up to after school today?
[Lo'ak????] Well I think Kiri wanted to go look around the town so we could do that.
[Ayo🤨] I won't be able to go sorry yall.
[Me] Oh shit that's right you have that thing on today!
[Ayo🤨] Wow thanks for remembering bro.
[Me] NO problem mate!
[Ayo🤨] Omfg
[Neteyam!] WAIT what's going on?
[Me] Well Ao has this surfing thing going on. Maybe we could all go and watch?
[Ayo🤨] Wait what? Why do you need to come watch??? You don't needa come watch!
[Reyrey] Oh come on Ao you need to get over your fear of people watching you surf.
[Ayo🤨] People do watch me surf! I have people litteraly judging me!
[Me] Oh well we are coming anyways. Who wants to come??
[Mami😍] We will all come, and we can see if our parents want to come so that then yours have someone to talk to?
[Ao🤨] Our parents already know everyone there so maybe it would be a good opportunity for yours to make more friends?
[Neteyam!] Cool we will be there then! See you soon.

Rotxo switched off his phone and walked to the gate with Tsireya.
