Chapter 10 - Tuk

I saw my brother push Kiri out of the way and walk over to that boy who was yelling. Oh no. I didn't like this. Not one bit. I hid behind Kai, he was tall enough that he could hide me. Why was I hiding? Damm it Tuk you baby. But I heard the smack. Tey had done it. He had hit the boy. No no no. This was bad. He couldn't have. That was something that Lo'ak would do. Why would Tey start a fight?

Lo'ak ran up to him and I came out from behind Kai. He was looking at me. Why was he looking at me like that. Damn it Tuk get it together. Kiri. What happened with Kiri. I looked over to find her looking stunned so I went over to her grabbing her arm.
"Kiri.. what just happened?"
"Tuk if I'm being honest I have no clue." There was more yelling.
"Tey isn't going to get in trouble is he?"
"Tuk it's the first day of school and he's already punched someone. What do you think?" Right. But why Tey?

Lo'ak was the one that fought not Tey. What had this boy done that got him so worked up? I didn't even know the boys name. What is going on?
"Shit" I looked up finding my oldest brother standing there. His hands were still balled up and he seemed to be as confused as anyone. Oh shit. Was it happening again.

"Tey. What happened?" Kiri dragged me over to him and I immediately took his hand to make sure that he hadn't broken it.
"I don't know.. one second I was over there talking to you the next I'm over here. Ow shit Tuk that hurt."
"Sorry. You have bruising on your knuckles but other then that you should be good." A bell suddenly rung and everyone left to their classes. The boy was still on the ground holding his jaw.
"Hey girl come make sure I'm ok will you."

I stared at him in disgust. Who did he think he was.
"No. Fix your own problems ass fuck" with that I walked off. I didn't know where to find my next class but Kai was catching up to me. He would help.
"Hey Tuk! Wait up!" I stopped walking so he could catch up.
"Uh do you know where.." I pulled out my timetable.
"B6 is?"
"Oh english next? Nice and yeah I'll show you come on." He started leading me to my classroom.

We got there and he came in with me. Did he have this class to? I just shrugged and walked in.
"Oh hello! Welcome to English you must be Tuk. You can take a seat over there next to Kendall. And what are you still doing here Mr Caro?"
"Sorry Miss I was just making sure she got here ok."
"Very well now off you go I don't want your agriculture teacher to get annoyed at you for being late. Make sure to apologize!" She called after him as he left the class. Agriculture? I walked over to my desk next to the girl.

"Hey! I'm Kendall nice to meet you"
"Oh hi I'm Tuk" this girl seemed nice. At least I hoped she was.

The class was going well until the was this kind of Bing bong sound and someone saying something. The class hushed and listened.
"Can Neteyam, Kiri, Lo'ak and Tuk Sully with Rotxo and Kai Caro and Ao'nung and Tsireya Metkyina and lastly Jaymee Cummings. Please come to the office now." What. Fuck fuck fuck.
"Oh well Tuk it seems you are needed and I trust you can find the main office so you must be off." I stood. I felt all eyes on me.

Out the door a familiar face greeted me. Rotxo? What was he doing here?
"Hey kid. My brother knew I had a class up here so asked me to show you where to go. Come on." He had a smile on his face. He wasn't worried.
"Do you know what this is about?" WE had begun the walk and I wasn't sure how long it would take to get there.
"Yeah I'm guessing it about your brother punching Jaymee. Don't worry it will be fine ok." I just nodded. I was definitely worrying.

Well we got there and found all my siblings there with everyone else that was called. Kiri was just on her phone. I was wondering who she was texting. It was probably mama. I took a breath. It was going to be ok. Everything would be fine.

Soon enough we were being called into the office one by one. First it was Ao'nung, then Tsireya the Rotxo and so on until it was my turn. I noticed that everyone had walked out smiling almost. Everyone but Jaymee. Good. He didn't deserve to be happy. But I got called in. They had all promised to wait for me outside. Fuck.

I sat in the empty chair and looked up to see Tonowari. Oh that's right.
"Hello Tuk. Here have a lolly" he pushed a bowl of lollies over to me and I took a couple.
"Now I am not going to question you I have heard more then enough from your siblings I just needed everyone so you can relax for a second." I felt relief. Good. He was smiling I smiled back to be polite.

It had been about 5 minutes and he told me I could go. I thanked him and walked out and saw everyone waiting like they said that would. I was relieved. However we did miss fourth period so now it was lunch. I wondered what Tey had packed me.

"So how did it go?" Rotxo was speaking to me.
"Oh uh it was fine actually he's a nice guy."
"Yeah he is you just don't want to get on his bad side."
"I hope I don't." Everyone had went and are now sitting on the grass field. I sat next to Neteyam and Kiri sat next to me. We were in a bigish circle and I felt safe.

"AH shit I forgot to pack my lunch."
"WAIT what? Tey you make the lunches for everyone how could you forget your own?" Tuk looked at her older brother confused. He never forgot his own lunch.
"I dunno to be honest I think I was distracted by Lo'ak" he chuckled. He didn't care so I didn't care.
"Here man you can have some of mine"
