Life was good to say the least. I finally had basically everything I wanted with my relationship with Eden growing. Now on game days it meant a lot more to look up and see her in the stands. And contrary to what people believe you don't always have to go out to go on a memorable date, Eden and I were proof of that, most of our dates happening at her house.

My happiness was obvious, Drew and Karim often questioning me about where I was going or who had me smiling, but I'd just brush them off. My only problem was Carmen wasn't happy about the way I'd left things with her, but my block button worked just fine so I easily handled that.

In terms of football, we were currently undefeated, and having our last practice before Thanksgiving break. I was glad we were actually getting a break, I figured it could be a good opportunity to spend some more time with Eden, maybe even take a trip somewhere. I was texting Eden as I walked into the locker room until I felt somebody bump into me making me drop my phone. I smacked my teeth looking up seeing Austin.

"Whoops" he said nonchalantly as I bent down picking up the phone, "You weird man." I said trying to be the bigger person and just walk away, but he wouldn't let me, moving in front of me every step.

"Bro move, I am not tryna put my hands on you." I said getting agitated, "No, fuck that. What you do to make coach treat you so special? Huh? You paying him or something?" he asked, and I just stared at him because no way he was serious.

"You over here mad at me because you not getting no PT, did it ever occur to you that I'm just better? Put the same energy you give to me towards practice and maybe you'll see the field. Now move." I spoke pushing past him.

I was trying so hard to not get into it with him for real for the sake of him being Eden's brother, but I guess what I said pushed him over the edge. He yanked me back by my shoulder and swung on me, that was all I needed. That was the only hit he got in as I started beating his ass, eventually the team coming to separate us.

"Keep your bitch ass away from me man." I said walking away to go and calm myself down. I could hear coach yelling at him as I walked off.

I needed to talk to Eden about her bitch made ass brother, so I headed over to her house immediately after practice. I let myself in using her spare key and saw her sitting on the sofa, talking on the phone, she sent a glare my way before putting it on speaker.

"You just don't know what it feel like Eden. I had 2 good games, and they act like that don't mean nothing. I'm just tired of being overshadowed." I heard Austin say over the phone and I rolled my eyes before walking towards the kitchen.

"Well getting suspended isn't going to make to make them pay any good attention to you Austin. Use this break to stop worrying about Shedeur and his skills and focus on your own. Listen I gotta go, but I'll call and check on you later." She said.

They exchanged their 'I love you's' before she walked over in the kitchen looking at me with an upset look.

"What? I know you not mad at me and he started it." I said chuckling slightly. "It's not funny Shedeur you gave him two black eyes. I'm not saying you shouldn't have defended yourself, but you could've took it easy on him." She explained but I just shrugged.

"I did take it easy on him, hopefully all them hits knocked some sense into him. Now where my plate at?"

She just shook her head before walking over to the microwave and pulling out a plate of food. I placed a quick kiss on her lips before taking it and going to sit at the island. She sat down next to me, and I listened to her talk about her day, since we both were aware of how mine had went.
