Shedeur
It had been a few days since Christmas, and I was chilling in the backyard with Shelomi. We heard a door, looking up and seeing Shilo walking outside.
"Hey Shi!" Shelomi exclaimed but ignored her, his focus on me. "Did you say something to Eden?" he questioned making me frown.
"What're you talking about?"
"She randomly texted me after I dropped her off that she didn't think it was a good idea to keep seeing each other. You were the only one who wasn't nice to her, did you say something to her when I wasn't looking?"
I smacked my teeth "I aint say shit to her. What you stressing her for anyways? Didn't you introduce her as a friend?"
"Shedeur I swear to God—" he started making me stand up, so we were face to face "You swear what? I already told you I aint say nothing, so what you wanna do?"
"Guys let's not" Shelomi said, standing in between us. Shilo scoffed before walking off back into the house.
Shelomi and I returned to our seating positions in silence. I looked up feeling her eyes on me.
"What?"
"You liked that girl didn't you." She asked catching me off guard.
"What makes you say that?"
"The way you looked at her. I'm young, but not stupid." She explained and I chuckled a little bit, "Yea I did, but that stay between us alright?"
She nodded in agreement before changing the subject to what she had going on in school. Despite what I'd said to Eden in our last conversation, I still missed her more than anything, I was just hurt.
By New Year's my arm was out of the sling and I was looking forward to getting back on the field. I was currently at a party Karim had dragged me to since Drew was busy.
"Aye bro, aint that your fine ass chemistry teacher?" he asked pointing towards the door where Eden was walking in with her sister.
I laughed to myself a little, fate always had a funny way of bringing us together. The opportunity had presented itself to me, and I wasn't going to waste it.
I watched her for most of the night, not caring how obvious it was. I watched as she finished her champagne flute before walking to the bathroom, waiting for the right moment to follow behind her. She gasped once she turned around and noticed my presence.
"Shedeur you scared me! What are you doing in here?" she asked, "I miss you Eden."
I said making her expression soften. From her look alone I could tell she'd missed me too.
"5, 4, 3, 2, 1! Happy New Year!" the sounds of the crowd cheering echoed to the bathroom.
With no hesitation I stepped to her and connected our lips, and she immediately started to kiss back. As the kiss heated up I lifted her up, backing her against a wall. Our lips never disconnecting as she fumbled with my pants, slipping them down just enough.
I slid into her wetness, making her moan into the kiss. I had missed this, I missed her. I groaned as she started to suck on my tongue, feeling myself getting closer to climax. I could feel her walls tighten as she dug her nails into my back, starting to release onto me. That was enough to send me over the edge as my strokes got sloppy, groaning into the kiss as I released into her.
We finally pulled away from one another, trying to catch our breaths. We were getting a second chance, and this time I wasn't letting anything tear us apart.
When it was time for the championship game I'd asked coach to let me play and he agreed. Austin got angry and left the game entirely. It felt good to be able to lead my team to victory and prove everybody that doubted me wrong. Eden was conflicted being happy for me, but feeling bad for her brother, she'd tried calling him, but his phone was off.
"He'll come around." I said trying to comfort her and she gave me a small smile. I didn't like him but when it came down to Eden I was willing to do or get along with anybody if it meant keeping her happy.
