Omniscient

Eden and Shedeur both sat at their separate Thanksgiving dinner tables, wishing they were in a position to spend this Holiday with one another.

At the Sander's household Shilo had done his best to keep the peace, but their father just kept making jabs.

"You been watching your brothers games Shilo?" Deion asked breaking the silence in the room.

"Yea, he been doing his thing." Shilo said giving Shedeur a playful nudge. The brother's had always gotten along pretty well despite the tension their father had created.

"Yea I'm glad at least one of my boys cared about making their old man happy." Deion said casually.

Shedeur sighed knowing the dinner was about to take a turn for the worst. Pilar quickly tried to interject but it was too late, Shilo had already responded, turning the conversation into an argument between the two.

Shedeur quickly sent a message to Eden asking if they could see each other after the family dinner, he knew he would need to feel the peace her presence brought by the time the day was over.

Eden sat at her mother's home, almost immediately responding yes to the message. She had asked her mother if her father could join them for Thanksgiving, and considering her mother agreed she thought the day would go smoothly. It likely would have gone had he not brought Ms. Gwen with him.

"You know what Grace, fuck you. I'm tired of you still being bitter over the fact that I moved on and I'm happy." Carter said growing tired of the woman's antagonizing remarks.

She scoffed, offended at his outburst "You damn right I'm bitter you had the audacity to bring this bitch into my house. Did you forget that this the woman you chose over me, chose over your family?!" Grace retaliated, "Well now you see why!" Carter shot back.

"Oh go to Hell. You probably just got so used to sneaking her in for a quick fuck you couldn't resist the opportunity to walk in here with her freely. What kind of sick individual dates somebody only a little bit older than their oldest child?! You know as soon as you go broke she gone go hopping onto the next old married dick right?" Grace said amused.

Gwendolyn just sighed; Eden had always appreciated the woman for not arguing with her mother, accepting the fact she was wrong for how she started her relationship with Carter.

"Oh cut the shit Grace. Gwen and I had been messing around for almost a year before you caught us. You knew I was seeing somebody else, you just thought you could get me to stay, and when I didn't you got mad!"

"Both of you get out my house right now!" Grace shouted.

Eden watched as her father continued to argue all the way out the door until he and Gwen were both in the car. She looked forward to her time with Shedeur after dinner, knowing his presence would bring her peace.

Shedeur

I sat in my room throwing some clothes in a bag so I could add onto the ones I already had at Eden's place. I heard a knock at my door, "Yea", Karim peeped his head in, "You got a visitor man." He said making me look at him confused.

He opened the door a little wider and Carmen entered with an obvious attitude. I sighed as Karim closed the door leaving us alone.

"What do you want Carmen?"

"Really Shedeur? You just left me high and dry! I know we were just fucking around but I was starting to like you." She expressed taking some steps closer to me.

"Carmen the feeling has never been mutual. I blocked you for a reason bro, you need to go." I grabbed her by her arm starting to pull her towards the door before she snatched away making me smack my teeth.

"Fine well how about I just email these pictures of you and Dr. Wilson to the president, your coach might like to see them too." She said smugly making my heart drop.

"What pictures?" I asked, "Once you blocked me I figured I'd just follow you to get you to talk to me, and much to my surprise you were going to see her. I thought it was just a one-time thing so you could pass a test or something, but you kept going back. I still don't understand how you could think she's better than me, but hey." I searched her face for any signs that she was lying, but I couldn't see any.

"Think I'm lying?" she asked, before pulling up her phone and proceeding to show me various pictures of Eden and I at her home. I tried to snatch the phone, but she moved it away before I could.

"Not so fast...aww were you going to see her now?" she asked noticing my bag on the floor and taking a seat on my bed. "Aren't you going to ask what I want?" she was clearly amused with being in control of this situation.

"What do you want Carmen?" I said while rubbing my hand over my face, both scared and in disbelief that this was actually happening.

"You. Something like a relationship without a title. If it makes you feel any better, you can think of it like a cover up for what you really have going on." She explained, now standing up and coming to stand in front of me.

"Starting tonight." She said pulling my head down and aggressively connecting our lips.

I didn't want too, but I didn't see any other options. I felt disgusted with myself as I showered and headed out to go to Eden's. She'd called me a few times considering I was supposed to be at her place hours ago.

I used the key to let myself in, heading to her bedroom where she'd fallen asleep. I undressed down to my shorts, climbing in the bed next to her. She woke up enough to roll over and cuddle up with me.

"What took you so long?" she answered sleepily, "Got caught up with my friends, sorry." I lied. She simply hummed before slipping right back into sleep.

I couldn't tell her about this, it was my fault we were in this situation, so I needed to figure out how to get us out on my own.
